How people change within 5 years ... opening message of this thread, by the same member.

Or is it just the British "I will complain, no matter which way you change things".

I was wondering, where you were.

We don't like "extremes"; it goes with the weather as well as with politics.

You know it's hot when the Moroccan mint in the garden patch starts wilting!

Ha, but you're not in the Grade 4 Heat Wave Alert Zone issued by Meteo Suisse, lucky bugger!

Re: Weather!

As well as the flagstones, I have hosed down the closed shutters on the windows as they were boiling.. my attempts to get this house cooled down by bed time is like beating the sea back with a big stick.

The heat warnings are in place until at least Wednesday. Any hint of when it is likely to break?

Great idea, I must say, for the hard shell smaller pools.

We have two inflatable kiddie pools and both deflated and leaked recently, which might make a bit of a mess in the living room

I envy the lucky people who have a nice fountain with ice-cool running water from the mountains right next to their front door! You know who you are!

Thursday afternoon into Friday, looks like rain and highs in the 20s for Friday and Saturday. I hope.

Our AC works fine, even in the Boxster with the top down!

Re: Weather!

Great! We have a layer of cloud cover now; like a wooly blanket to keep all that warmth in for the night.. argh, but no cloud cover through out the day to give some relief from the heat of the sun.

Oh ye gods, ye gods, must I endure all this?

You, madam, have an overactive imagination. Possibly heatstroke.

It was a choice between giving up the hat, or my cigars, or compression stockings.
