We have more money in Geneva to pay for rain clouds, that's all.

Are you getting the tax off the ones coming across from France?

Obviously. Even though they are much cheaper than Swiss clouds, more stylish too, but far more unpredictable.

Had a laugh at that because I'm well over 50 and have never heard of the second meaning ever, either in the US or the UK. It's always meant being angry about something.

Got a couple of big bangs last night just before we went to bed, but still no rain. So yes, I'm still spitting feathers.

Thought it was funny too as meanings normally don't change over the years but usually have a different interpretation from place to place.

After a two-hour-fight "up there" last night (seemed like clouds wanted to rain, thunder grumbled "oh no you won't") we had some short rainfall. But when I woke up this morning it was raining. Not enough though, probably. Still, very cozy sound to wake up to.

Re: Weather!

Mother Nature is such a tease.

Skies darkened around 09:30, wind picked up - looked like it would be cats and dogs time.

Not.

A few drops, most of which evaporated before hitting the ground. Over in 10 minutes.

And now it's not only hot, but muggy as well.

Roll on next week, when this heatwave is supposed to break.

Oh wait, next week I'm heading off... to So Cal.

Frying pan, fire. Literally.

Didn't last long here either, but did cool things down for a little while. Sun's out now though so getting hot again.

At least you'll have air con in Cali.

Won't bore you with the details in the wrong thread, they're here.
The cold froth lasts less long than the hot one (which seems to stay frothed for hours, LOL). But I'll figure that out too - got a lot of summer left for that.

Back to the weather: Sun is back, yeaiii.
