Re: Weather!

Rain turned briefly to snow. It didn't stick in our garden, but the Etzel (ca. 1100m) has a nice dusting...

Re: Weather!

I decided not to switch my car to summer tyres on Friday morning, when there was a good 5cm of snow on the windscreen. That all melted during the day, but there's a good covering across the village today.

Summer looks a way off still.

Re: Weather!

Why is the weather mostly nice during the week when we're working, and then cloudy and rainy on the weekend? It's depressing.

Could it be that, it's just an illusion?

In fairness she did say mostly, not always.

One weekend of fantastic weather doesn’t make up for all the grey and miserable ones before it.

Are you joking? Trolling? Or just become accustomed to the 'new normal'?

The temp in Zurich today is a few degrees warmer than the historical average daily high of 12.4 deg. for the month of April. Maybe it just seems cold to you because it has been so abnormally warm this year ( the average max temp. of 12.4 deg for April has been surpassed on 19 days so far this month. And not just by a degree or two, but often by 10 degrees or so)

Please quote source for temps. I am not a Trump follower.

I provided links to two sources. Trump, what?

Here's the meteoschweiz bulletin from March if you're interested. I'll post the link to the April bulletin when it comes out a few days from now..

https://www.meteoschweiz.admin.ch/ho...aerz-2019.html

"In der zweiten Monatshälfte etablierte sich eine anhaltende Hochdrucklage, die verbreitet zu sehr sonnigem Wetter und milden Temperaturen führte. Insbesondere in höheren Lagen stiegen die Tagesmaxima 6 bis 8 °C über die Norm. Die Monatsmitteltemperatur lag schweizweit mit 1,5 °C über der Norm.."

Trump gives out many facts. And his followers believe him without doing fact checks

Re: Weather!

This weather that we have at the moment. ( in CH ) It's not normal! I would say it's 99% produced by our activities on this planet.

So you've never experienced a chilly wet day in May in Switzerland before?

No its not that. Its something intangible that one percieves about the current weather. Difficult to explain.

I would say that it’s pretty typical of this time of the year personally.

I agree. I have the impression that the raindrops are wetter this year than usual.
