Re: Weather!

It seems we can just look at the weather forecast for the UK knowing we'll get the same a couple of days later.. Is this a bit like seeing the future?

Yep ... looks like we've got choppy seas and high tides to look forward to, over the weekend.

What do you mean no weather?

It's been so cold the last couple mornings that some people had to defrost their windshields before heading to work!

Tom
tell me about it, I've had to put the grip heating on full to keep wearing summer gloves

Re: Weather!

Snow Level? - sort of off topic

My husband and I are thinking of taking the motobikes out tomorrow (yay! sunshine and 14!!!) but I'm wondering if there's some source that can show us how low the snow levels are? I know that the major passes are closed, but how far could we ride before we hit barriers and/or ice?

We'll be leaving from Basel. Initial thoughts were to follow the Jura toward Biel, but getting closer to the Alps might be nice, too...

Nope. Nothing to speak of, a little gentle breeze is the best we got. It is chucking it down though.

The cat says that the "gentle breeze" and horizontal rain isn't good for her fur... she'd rather stay indoors if its all the same....

I wondered what happened to the old Papiliorama domes - you must be living in one.

The pouring rain without the gentle breeze was enough to make ours turn back at the door so there was a nice little 'present' to clean out if the litter tray this morning.

Well now you know. Seriously though it does seem as if we're living in our own little bubble sometimes.

There was really no wind to speak of at all around here yesterday or last night, there were some waves crashing on the rocks on the lake in Neuchâtel at around 9.30 PM but nothing out of the ordinary and it wasn't really windy in town. OH says the lake was choppy most of the afternoon but that happens quite often.

We had much more wind than that a couple of times over the Christmas break.

It's beautiful and calm and sunny this morning.

Lovely here now as well, although last night it proved hard to get some shut eye due to the wind!

Re: Weather!

There were fierce winds here in Greifensee yesterday. A bunch of garbage (e.g. empty pizza boxes) from our neighbor's balcony is now scattered all over our garden. (I'm going to leave it there for a bit to see if they notice ).

It's sunny and mildly windy here now. My hubby said the weather is supposed to get nasty again later today, so I better get my booty to the store before it sets in.
