Not snowy at all down here, been about 10°C most of the day but it's a bit grey.
They've been threatening us with rain for the past two days but no sign of it yet.

Beautiful drying days on Monday and Tuesday and yesterday was beautiful ( but windy) until about 4pm when it got rather cloudy and dull.
It was raining in Lausanne at night.

About "This is what comes of trying to change them early" Tyres or OH?
The tyres. Bit late to change the OH "early", we have 23 years and counting.

He did get the tyres changed yesterday, had to take it to a garage in the end as a back tyre was locked on and wouldn't come off easily.

Woke up to a sprinkling of snow, cold and grey all day.
Hope it's melted by now. We're on summer tyres and going through that way at the weekend!

Re: Weather!

We wouldn't do it normally until at least the first weekend in April, but the holiday threw that plan out the window. Unfortunately, other things meant we had to take the spring holiday earlier than we usually do so threw other things out as well.

They can be tricky, I usually sit down and place my big feet wearing boots either side of the tyre and use brut force and ignorance to loosen the wheel off the hub.

Doesn't sound like a good idea when it's up on the jack - which is why the OH didn't try hitting it with a hammer.

It would take more than body weight or a hammer to shift the car off the jack unless your car is a 1970 Citroen CV2.

Anyway that's another story, weather is crap!

Quote:
I am near Neuchâtel, in Neuchâtel Jura mountains not in the town- at 950m a different world up here

No more snow during the day- and all gone from the ground, although tips of trees higher up are white... just a bit grey, with sunshine just behind the clouds.
Question answered before you even asked - because someone had already asked it.

Re: Weather!

No more snow overnight and nice and sunny up here- so your drive through will be fine tomorrow. Bon voyage.

Thanks Odile, yes, a lovely day here too, though it didn't look like it was going to be first thing this morning.

Re: Weather!

I guess my question is weather related; so I am plastering it on this wall. Will the haze over Lac Leman go away in hot summery days? Is there hope to see the gorgeous mountains most days? I did google this and got nada

Re: Weather!

Yes. The misty junk during sunny days isn't the rule, it's the exception. Rather a lot of it this year though.

Re: Weather!

The weather was so annoying yesterday. Raining, sunny, raining, cloudy, windy. I hope it improves soon.
