The pool is currently at 27c - but it has been too hot to even get close to it - unless you fancy 4 layers of skin being removed from your feet as you walk across the patio!!!

However Landi's cooling fan does work rather well - inside - while I snoozed through Formula E
That is the funniest thing I've read in ages lol

Re: Weather!

We had a big event in the village, with a whole troupe of French guys dressed in army uniform from the last Napoleonic war against Prussia in 1870/71 - they were sveltering and one nearly passed out- about 28C only, much cooler than yesterday at 32C (and we are at 950m). A very proud day for our village and dignitaries from all over Switzerland, especially Geneva, Luzern and Fribourg.

Forecast for next couple of weeks much cooler and rain, doh a shame as I will have visitors from Danemark here.

Weather!

I'm in the UK - in the Peak District near Dovedale, where it's sunny and barely in the 20s. My husband is in Winti with the dog - they slept in the cellar last night - only place in the house where the pup didn't see or hear the storm.

Those are amazing photos!

Re: Weather!

Oh lucky you Edot- I just love Dovedale and the Peak District- we used to Youth Hostel all the time at Ilam Hall when the kids were little- and later stay at the Isaac Newton Hôtel. Enjoy

Re: Weather!

Nothing exciting here - so the fan is still on.

Will try the freezer packs in it tonight (water reservoir used to "cool" - it comes with 2 freezer pack you put in it) - pikey version of air-con!

Frying human lobsters season at the swimming pool for those who are oblivious of putting on the sun protection.

Re: Weather!

Very sunny and hot this morning- now muggy (a good England Midlands word) skies getting darker and a storm may well be brewing. Guests arriving from Danemark soon, and I am trying to clean the house and sveltering!

Very lucky up here that it always cools down at night and that we live where we can sleep with windows wide opened and have a breeze- and a good night's sleep. Can't stand the heat at night.

Labourers sweat.
White colour workers perspire.
Middle aged ladies only svelter?
