It's not even April yet, and I already have a little bit of a sun tan!

I almost feel guilty that we've had such a mild winter and early spring here. Where I'm from, in the US, they've had the worst winter in over 100 years.
Remember what happened last year in May/June weatherwise? Don't feel guilt yet - US almost always has proper hot summers, N-S E-W (not sure about San Francisco though)

Given the ZH winter, part of last-year's tan got a Christmas booster

Re: Weather!

I got a bit burned just by being out and about on Sunday.

There were even people sunbathing at the Werdinsel by the Limmat in Zurich - although not swimming. Definitely not warm enough for that yet!

Re: Weather!

It looks as if the smog that has been hanging over France and the UK is heading East over Switzerland!

Think we missed the smog and got the rain instead.

Re: Weather!

Honestly, I am really *issed off for you all hard working people- sincerely. After weeks of wall to wall sunshine- the weather has changed to grey, cold and rainy just in time for the long Easter week-end. Not fair- and I do commiserate sincerely. Enjoy all the same.

One of the first jokes I learned here, from my Swiss neighbor:

What do you call two days of solid rain, sandwiched in between five days of sunshine?

- The weekend.

(Adjust as necessary to include holidays. )

Frohe Ostern, one and all.

Re: Weather!

The weather can do what it likes. The wood is smouldering away in the stove, I'm still in my jimjams and I've a cupboard full of whisky.

What more could anyone ask for?

Re: Weather!

Yeah, we really do need the rain (or rather, the plants do).

But I feel so bad for all these people who work all week during the beautiful weather. Then comes the holiday, and it's gray, wet and cold.

Boring, boring, boring...

Phone sex, anyone?

Having had to deal with with the many various and very different Swiss dialects Glaswegian now sounds like received pronunciation to me.
