Highest ever recorded temperatures since 1921.
The glaciers are melting at an even greater rate- and so is the permafrost that holds the Alps together!

P.S. There's no up there, with no one in change ..... weather is a natural phenomenon affected by many local and global factors.
It appears that rain will be moving through in the morning, when it's cooler, anyway, then later in the day and into Thursday - but there wont be a great drop in daytime temperatures.

May cuddle an ice pack in a minute, that may help.
Yes, I know there's not really anyone up there, but I was hedging my bets just in case.
No change in temps? Maybe not where you are, but here yes - if the forecast is right. 25-28 tomorrow, a blessed 21-23 Thursday. Bearing in mind that tomorrow's 28 is supposed to feel like 34, that's a big difference! Thursday's 23 will feel like - 23 - yippy! |

I am following these two: http://www.blitzortung.org/Webpages/...lang=en&page=1 http://www.lightningmaps.org/realtime
Currently showing thunderstorms in the nearby mountains. If Weather Channel's app is to be believed, these (or other) clouds might be making its way to Lausanne in an hour or four.
Edit at 0050: Not surprisingly, Weather Channel's forecast has changed to no rain/thunderstorms.

or Radio/TV weather
I like this Weather Radar one of theirs
as it gives yoiu a good idea of whether you are going to get soaked or not when out on your bike.
And by the way Uetliberg and Sihlwald are hills, even if it is possible to get into such a mess on the Uetliberg that one has to be rescued by helicopter.

In Italy we used to watch Swiss forecasts as they usually are more reliable (and we had no public weather radar until 1 year ago) | Quote: | | | | | Raining in Lausanne? | | | | | Yeah, for like 5 minutes...
Hoping for this evening |

I usually check this realtime radar because the zoom and/or direction of the storm is so easy to manipulate: http://www.accuweather.com/en/ch/lau...r-radar/316303 |

Dark clouds have been gathering for past hour and now some rumbles of thunder and a few drops of rain - so hopefully will turn into a good soak and cool down.

The early hours of the morning could be interesting though.
