Me, I'm looking forward to more warm weather for some weeks yet.

Jakub, look like you headed for Yverdon beach again- more swimming than last time? | | | | | We swam last time a bit but yes, this time long circles around the less overgrown areas A lot of underwater plants grew this year, probably due to very warm air/water. Strangely, there was a majority of Swiss Deutsch speaking ppl this time. Maybe French speakers got scared by a bit lower water T? :P | Quote: | | | | Last days? One thing remains unknown. El Nino is getting stronger and it is known to completely mess-up weather patterns in Europe as well. It might bring very wet autumn or very snowy winter in the Alps. But tropical heat, especially long periods of it, soon will be over for this year.

Thanks goodness for that too. Tropical weather can stay in the tropics as far as I'm concerned. Mid-20sC is quite enough.
I'll be glad to see the really hot stuff go for another reason as well, then I might stop getting bit by bugs all the time! Just had breakfast and I've already got two bites! When it was cooler I didn't get any.
Hopefully we'll have a nice Indian summer through September. We've noticed that it usually lasts right up to the first weekend in October - just right to make the visit to the British Classic Car Show in Morges a lovely day out. Not too hot to walk along the lakeside viewing the cars yet no need for a jacket. Perfect.

Is the farmer fertilizing his fields? It will rain tomorrow, guaranteed.
Is the farmer cutting hay? It will stay dry and sunny for at least four days, guaranteed.
Is the farmer harvesting his apples? Sommer ist vorbei, guaranteed.
Is the farmer moving his cows into the home field? Seriously unfriendly weather ahead, guaranteed.
Of course how the farmer knows what weather to expect is the big mystery. No idea where he gets his info... when I ask he just says ' alte Bauernregel' with a smile and a wink.

Personally, I hope that the warm weather in CH ends soon.
I would love to arrive in November to some cool weather and maybe even some nice thick snow.
Our temp today is 31ºc and spring is only from tomorrow officially. We have had winter temps of around the high 20's and into the 30's and last summer we got up to 40ºc on a few days.
Enough of the African heat!! Bring on some cold air |

If I wanted to stay in Ireland, I would have taken up potato farming as a profession.

You don't get much skiing in Ireland.
Weren't you one if the ones moaning about how bad the weather is here not so very long ago. |

Arent you Belgian? Don't you remember the North Sea weather? Now, multiply the cold, rain and wind by 5 and you will get Ireland If somebody wants cold, should go and live there and leave this country for us, warm-weather-enthusiasts ;P

At least six months of the time the weather in Switzerland is pretty cold or is your memory playing tricks on you?
If you're a warm weather enthusiast I would really say that it's you who has chosen the wrong country.
And for the record no I'm not Belgian but I am mum to one. |

No, memory ok but over the Leman I have never experienced a temperature lower than 1-2 C below zero (probably one year is not enough but still). That is of course the lake effect and in the mountains it will be appropriately cold. But again, you can go to Poland and experience -25C sometimes
And no, I'm enthusiast of long, warm weather spells but not the type you will get in Po Valley down south in Italy. So there, I chose right :P
