| | Re: Weather! | Quote: | | | | | Believe I just saw Noah and his ark go floating by the Port d'Ouchy on Lac Leman. This has been the most rain I've seen all year. Anyone heard what the snow line altitude is supposed to be today? | | | | | http://www.meteoswiss.admin.ch/home....ab=temperature | Quote: | | | | | Swiss weather is so unpredictable that no site can tell accurate results. I believe, Accuweather is to the nearest | | | | | I find this service quite predictable: www.meteoblue.ch
Just pay attention to the predictability bar. It shows how well a dozen of models agree (or disagree). If the bar is green, the weather will be as shown. If its yellow or orange, check for updates often. Simple
But the fact is that the weather in the mountains is rather difficult to predict no matter whether it is Switzerland, Italy or the USA
ps. I enjoyed the rain it was long overdue.

Sun has finally got out - but struggling to stay around. Let's hope I'll feel better by the time the good weather comes back! Really HATE head colds/sinus infections!

Really HATE head colds/sinus infections! | | | | | Are you prone to these? Try hot milk with honey, ginger and cinnamon Or eat raw garlic on sandwiches (my favourite is a fresh baguette with demi sel butter, crushed garlic on the butter and then slice of ham and tomato on top) | The following 2 users would like to thank JakubB for this useful post: | |

Sun still out- not had one since last winter- so hopefully will be the first and last of the season! Yep, hot roiibosch tea with lemon, ginger and honey- and tonight, a good slug of rum! Got an important assignment on Sunday- so just got to get better!

It ended warm, blue skies and sunny. That's actually perfect timing for me, having the weather improve just as I'm leaving work. |

Absolute gorgeous day today here- the village of Môtiers was absolutely full to the brim for the last day of the 'Art en Plein air' exhibition- the Maison de l'Absinthe was full to the brim with visitors, and when I went to eat there with the Lonely Planet Guide journalists after our visit, at 15.30, the great local restaurant at .... run out of food!

So, who got some snow last night? It snowed in many places in the Alps, including Val d'Hérens and Graubunded.
Grey, rain on and off and decidedly cool up here in the NE Jura.

I can't see any snow in the Pre-Alps, but it's a bit overcast. The stove was on last night, though...but not the heating, not till October, it's a house (budgetary) rule!

It was clear enough for a brief period this morning to see fresh snow on Grammont and Les Cornettes de Bise from my balcony looking across the lake so that means it snowed at 2100 meters last night. They're in the clouds right now so I can't see if it melted today or not.
The rest of the week is supposed to be sunny and lovely!

Yes The Spouse, friends in Torgon said they had some snow (love the Cornettes de Bises )- gorgeous sunny day up here in the mountains today. Just finished a guided visit at my favourite Museum here, for a large group of retired people from Devon, who were enjoying the sunshine (and the visit too, I believe).
