You just need to prune them back a bit (but not too short) and they'll be beautiful again next year with not much work at all. | | | | | Don't worry: I didn't kill them. I gave them a good prune, filled my arms and fingers with thorns and acquired a hole in my shirt and a blister on my hand.
All in all a successful bit of gardening. Not bad for someone who hasn't got a garden!

Beautiful couple of days here. We went over to Pontarliar this morning and so warm I didn't even need my light jacket on. |

What an amazing day! 18 degrees at the moment, have just been sitting outside in the sun with a glass of wine, too warm for a jacket.
Did we go straight from autumn to spring? Does this mean I can forget Christmas shopping this year?
I wish. 😕

Didn't decide to go until this morning so no chance to contact you Odile. Did see the Carrefour Contact store you mentioned on another thread. We didn't go in, but will do so next time we go over that way. All supermarkets seem to be going small these days, having grown bigger and bigger in recent years.

a perfect day here in Basel.
Coffee and laziness until the clouds cleared. Gardened. Tri country bike ride. Visited with neighbors. Scotch on the balcony to watch the sunset. BBQ later tonight.
If only every day could be like this one.

Another glorious day today. This autumn has been fabulous.
Mowed the lawn today for what is hopefully the last time for this year, mind you I said that the last time I did it too.

The weather has been too nice.
(Does that qualify as an FWP?)
With these spring-like temperatures my bulbs have started up. | This user would like to thank meloncollie for this useful post: | |

Must say I am mighty pleased we don't live in .... Glasgow.
Lovely sunshine today, but defo colder and a big frost last night. Thanks Melo for reminder- got to plant the bulbs I bought in UK before the snow comes.

May get our first snowfall of the year on Saturday/Sunday. Snow shovel and broom at the ready. Now where are my boots?

Still very mild for the time of year, but weather seems to have definitely 'turned' today - it feels like snow may well be on the way.

I'm sitting here in Florida, hiding from the heat and the sun and looking forward to coming home tomorrow to the forecasted weather (rain all day Friday and a chance of snow on the weekend). It is winter - bring it on!!

Seemed very odd in the 20 degree sunshine last weekend but not now with the cold and fog.

Snow may fall so I have a question: who is responsible of clearing the snow in front the house and garages? Concierge?
|

| | Re: Weather!
Just depends on your contract- what does it say?
Here there is no concierge - so we will be shovelling and snow-blowing galore!
