Chucking it down up here in the NE Jura- but still 11C at 8pm- so could it really be snow for tomorrow morning?
It's a good job we've got a large back covered porch at the back of the house- or our little old dog would NOT go for a pee out there for anything in the world.

All cats are inteligent, only some are intelligent and cowards while the other are intelligent and brave! :P Our has rain in her blood From long generation of Irish rural cats | | | | | Naugh, more like some cats don't care if they get wet and others do. My cat in America would have loved to be out in this sort of weather. She'd sit on the front porch in rain, wind, thunder, lightning, the lot and never cared. Our cat here was a cat who kept herself spotless. Though she preferred to go outside to do her stuff if possible she certainly wouldn't have ventured out today. Too much cleaning up to be done fur-wise afterwards. Days like this was what the littler box was made for as far as she was concerned.

The zero will be around 800 tomorrow and around 600m on Sunday so majority of snowfall should happen tomorrow night.

I smiled and said "Yes!" | | | | | Not quite...You see, normally I would hole up in one of the pubs with friends and had several pints. After that we would listen to some nice live musing sitting by the coal-fired fireplace and after that we would go to Supermacs for a bap...Here? It is just ordinary miserable weather...

well we did wake up to a sprinkling of snow- and it is sort of snowing now, but not really settling and the roads are clear- the trees on the mountain above are very white though. See how it goes - time for our first big wood burning stove fire later on. Bring it on.
Seems like the snow is getting lighter and fluffier- so will probably begin to settle now. Local ski resorts have the ratraks at the ready and are itching to go!

White out and settling- so yep, forecast was right. Got to go down in t'valley in a mo- good job I had snow tyres fitted 2 days ago.

| | | | | It was lovely here first thing which was quite a surprise after the horrible weather yesterday.
It's completely clouded over now and just started sleetin/snowing.
The new neighbour's trampoline didn't fare too well in the gale force winds yesterday, I guess he wasn't paying attention when all the other neighbours dismantled theirs and put them away for winter.

Basel is getting a wet snow, but melting as soon as it hits anything. The ground temps are too warm and the forecast is for warmer weather too, so it won't last |

After a sunny morning, we've had rain and now snow here in Baden. I was going to go to a night market in the town later this evening, but I'm too cosy inside with a cup of tea and the Internet!

A few centimeters of snow here - enough to send Hooligan and Heffalump running giddy circles.
The first snow is always a bit magical, isn't it?
