We are at 1200m on the Jura and although sunny now it was blizzard like earlier. The ski area at Les Rasses opened this morning much to everyones delight.
We have around 2 foot of snow but looking at temps for next week I don't think it will last for long as double figures are forecast.

Well, has finally cleared off here thank goodness. Still dull and overcast, but at least I can see the cows in the field opposite now.

Must say I'd hate to live below several days of fog- my worst nightmare. I had to drive down twice this week at night and the fog was thick in the valley below, and we had very bright starry skies up here.

We had a horrendously foggy day on Wednesday but yesterday was ok and so is today.
We had a lovely frost yesterday morning but drove down to Geneva yesterday lunchtime and the fog started around Grandson and it was pretty thick all the way down to the Chavannes area.

have had the fog for 2 days now out of the blue

Wed it was fine a bit north of Lausanne and down but horrible up your way, almost erie it was so thick!

Well if you have fog down by Neuchâtel or Lausanne- just send a pm or ask here about the weather over the top! Fog here is VERY rare indeed- and I have to say we do feel a bit 'smug' looking down at the 'Mer de brouillard' (sea of fog) down below.

never saw fog so thick as this was! it's a bit better today but no sun in sight
