Not sure how much snow there is in Schwyz but in Lugano the situation is somewhat surreal this year. It does not often snow but there has not been rain for so long that people struggle to remember what it is. Sunshine has been the daily weather for weeks - not that we complain But no, it is not normal....

And the Swiss ski resorts sweating with anxiety is not helping with the snow either! |

Had to drive down into the Valley very early (well for me... 7.45) and having to dive into the fog was horrible. On return, experienced again the reverse temperatures phenomenon- -3 below the fog, and up here +2 in brilliant sunshine I would go bO (correction)nkers if I had to live in or below that fog all winter.

Personally I can live with the one or two days a week of fog we get here in November/December time ( which is the most frequent we've had fig in the five years I've lived here) if I don't have to continually shovel snow in winter. We get plenty of beautiful, bright, clear, sunny days here in winter so the odd foggy day doesn't bother me at all. ( and we've never had to resort to going in the bunkers )

The weather here is great compared to Russia or other places where I used to live (Hamburg and Amsterdam where I have never seen the sun, only rain, rain, rain).
So for me it's heaven here. Finally I have a chance to see 4 seasons of the year with the warm summer and a very nice winter.

We've got SNOW!
Only a light fall at the moment, but first of the winter and it's not melting off. Outside temp is 3.8.

It's been pouring with rain all day here and the temperature is only 2°. How can Medea have snow at 3.8°C and we have rain at 2°C.
