Just turned the central heating off (AGAIN!) as it's nice and sunny here too. Forecast for rain/sleet/snow Wednesday night into Thursday morning though.

Wind, rain, sleet and snow on the forecast today/tomorrow. Make sure everything's stored away/tied down and be safe out there folks.

Windy, rainy and now some fat snowflakes are coming down in Basel-Stadt. But once again, I expect nothing to stick around |

Pouring with rain and 2C this morning and on the way to La Chaux-de-Fonds. Wild snow blizzard and minus 2C on the way back.

No snow here yet, but it has been windy and rainy on and off today. Went down to the commune office early to put rubbish bag in the containers and post a couple of letters so managed to dodge the showers. |

Absolutely abominable here. It's really windy, pouring with rain and absolutely freezing.
I made the mistake of going to the dechetterie with our recycling a little while ago as it had stopped raining only for it to start again as soon as I'd loaded the car. I got absolutely soaked (as did the boy who I dragged along to help me) and we're now sitting down with a nice warm mug of tea to warm us up.
What s change after the glorious weather yesterday.

Went up the mountain for a meeting at 8pm- and come out at 10.30 and there is 25cm of snow- and you've got to go down a steep hill with sharp bends... and you drive VERY slowly |

OH said we had a spectacular hail storm around 10.45pm. Complete whiteout for about 3-4 minutes and he lost the TV satellite signal. I never heard a thing, slept right through it.
Bit of snow on the ground this morning, but roads are clear. More sleet/snow forecast for us later on today.

Still snowing softly here- about 1 ft overnight.

I thought we were being burgled based on the noise.
When I got up at around 8 there was only a light layer of frost on the grass so I still gave no idea what he was scraping.
It's snowing heavily now and starting to settle.

Been trying all day here with little success. Just started again, flakes are bigger, but so far not settling on the ground/roads. Visibility is getting worse though so it may have set in for the night this time.

Pfft. More snow, only a week's worth of wood left.
Order more or not?

Order more or not? | | | | | Well, if you order more you know that winter is guaranteed to end on the day the wood arrives.
So please do.
(My daffodils - which have been bravely hanging on, waiting for Mother Nature to make up her mind - will thank you.)

I'm intentively checking the weather forecast for Lake Garda over Easter. Two weeks ago, I had made a booking having in mind tennis holidays with 15-20 deg plus temperatures.
Now, I'm worried that I will need to get us two pairs of ice-skating boots instead to be able to cross the lake |
