No snow here.
We got very little overnight. Was forecast for several centimetres, but only a light dusting and that's melted off now. More rain than snow in the end.

Re: Weather!

Lugano requires chains or 4x4, sections of autostrada and other roads closed due to accidents!

Trees broken/fallen, 25+cm so far.

Re: Weather!

Winter wonderland up here- wow.

I do feel sorry for the poor red kites who returned recently from Africa- and just can't hunt. They are soaring above and meewing - no food for them.

Update at 17.50 - massive snow storm and total white-out now.

Re: Weather!

It's brass monkey weather out there today. Occasional snow flurries and a freezing wind.
A day to stay at home reading a good book.

Don't think so...Although I wish you were right, looking at the forecasts it looks like another dull week of early spring...

Turned out lovely and sunny so I wrapped myself up warm and went out for a nice walk.

Let's hope it will get warm in two weeks time. Otherwise my holidays in northern Italy will be ruined.

For whole morning and till about afternoon, it was sunny while lots of joggers and bikers were sticking out. As soon as I came back home, it was snowing very densely.

Saturdays snowfall beat the previous 1975 record for March snowfall in Ticino!

But it's getting warmer every day this week, back up to 15C by the weekend!

Re: Weather!

Sunshine, huge blue sky and winter wonderland.

Such a beautiful day- so put my coat and gloves on ... turned around, and there it was - a snow storm again. ah well.

Mind you, weather forecast for Sicily next week is not that brilliant - sunshine and rain all week, and not above 15C. Ah well- will have a great time in Taormina all the same- great food and wine, great sites, and a spa at the Hôtel.
