Re: Weather!

Whew! Managed to get the grass cut this morning, as rain is due over next few days. Just started to rain here now so sort of good timing.

Unfortunately wasn't able to spray all the weeds with weedkiller as too near the rain coming in.

Oh well, half my week's gardening goals accomplished at least.

Re: Weather!

If you can recommend a bio one that'll do the trick I'll consider using it in future.

As usual it's more that I'm behind when I should be doing gardening things which causes the problem. If I'd started earlier it wouldn't be so bad now. But also this year I want to clear my front patch which has a disintegrating anti-weed mat on it - get all that up and clear weeds/dried branches/old wood chips covering the mat and then put in some flower seeds so we actually look nice for a change! Side patch I could weed by hand, but if I'm going to be spraying one patch I may as well do the other one too.

Spade and 30cm dig and turn over Hint: employ a male partner On paths, Karcher will do the trick when applied periodically.

Re: Weather!

Quite possibly. Have been warnings of thunderstorms around here since yesterday. Haven't heard anything yet though, but heavy rain due to start falling later on so that may bring some rumbles and grumbles with it. Shouldn't bother me, once I get to sleep hardly anything wakes me up. Thunderstorms, a car crashing into a shop - I sleep through it all.

Re: Weather!

Yeah, we did get a few little grumbles just after 11pm vuachère, but no big bangs. Short, heavy downpour of rain for about a minute then it eased off.

(Sigh) It's raining ... again! Will we ever get more than 2 days of sunshine in a row this summer?

It's technically not summer yet so there's still hope.

Re: Weather!

At last we've had a beautiful, sunny and warm June day. A downpour for the last 2 minutes, with bits of blue skies up there. Grass cut (can't really call it a lawn lol) and patio cleaned, tables and chairs out from the barn- let Summer commence.

We've got the mother and father of all storms here at the moment. It's incredible.
