Swiss Stare

Can anyone explain to me the 'Swiss Stare'

We've encountered countless amount of people on train, walking about etc. who just seem to stare at you for, what seems like, endless amounts of time. I check to see if we've got food on our face or not wearing an item of clothing...but no. They seem to want to just stare even if you end up staring back at them.

Is it just me? Or am I going mad...

What are you doing looking at people? Your eyes should be buried in your iPhone like most other respectable folk.

Re: Swiss Stare

Was you jogging?

There have been many reports of super hot women jogging and getting unwanted attention, be it stares, whistles and sometimes crude remarks. A new phenomenon not seen before.

You may wish to seek help now whilst you are still confident enough to go out without fearing your life.

We as a community are actively pursing these offenders and correcting their ways where possible, so soon this will be a thing of the past, banished to all eternity.

Re: Swiss Stare

Normally I 'reply' with this type of stare, usually makes them turn away swiftly.

And this is quoted due to the importance of this post.

I always thought it was that they can tell I'm English just by looking at me, then again, I got the same thing in Wales.

Maybe I'm just strange lookin'.

Re: Swiss Stare

I've noticed this staring thing as well, from little kids to teens to adults to the elderly. I come from a driving city so am not used to being around people everytime I have to get from Point A to Point B by trains, buses, and sidewalks. Maybe I just have a weird personality but it irks me to no end! I know I look like a foreigner, but the city is full of them.

Re: Swiss Stare

We stare when we marvel at you but dont have the courage to actually talk to you, because our parents have teached us that it is not common to just talk to somebody.

You will just have to live with it. Most of the time they stare to check if someone else is staring at them.
