Having sex three times a day is great.
Even if you need a machine.

Re: Loud juicer ... yes another noise complaint

I'll be the token sympathiser as no one else has stepped forward.

I can imagine it being quite annoying. Bad enough to fall out over? I doubt it, but still annoying.

I wonder why the neighbour doesn't make all her juices in one go once a day? Would seem to be more sensible. I know that some hardcore juicers claim that you simply must drink juices within 15 minutes or they will turn brown and kill you, but as a long time (if sporadic) enthusiast myself, I don't notice any difference at all over at least 2 days as long as they are kept airtight and in the fridge.

You could try suggesting it.

Re: Loud juicer ... yes another noise complaint

Look, you live in Zürich. If the only noise problem you've got is a juicer going off three times a day between 8:00AM and 5:00PM then you're doing well. Just wait until one of the buildings nearby gets renovated, noise starts at 6:30AM and goes on till at least 4:00PM, continuously.

Personally I have the opposite problem - when I visit the inlaws down in Elms the biggest problem I have is lack of noise. I simply cannot sleep without hearing the rush of traffic, police sirens etc. Silence has never sounded so loud or disturbing, but then I am, and always have been a city dweller.

8:30 am was the first time today..
so it's fine when I'm not here!! 3 pm and 4:30 or 5 pm... more or less..
it's not that unreasonably.. it just disturbing loud noise when all is quiet around here..
oh well.. at least some people got a laugh.. and maybe I'll learn to live with it..

husband (English) moans as well... specially last Sunday during the Wimbledon!!
Ah ok - if that's the case, I don't think you have a leg to stand on. I have a weird timetable so 8:30 would sometimes annoy me, but during the middle of the afternoon I really can't see a problem (and I grew up in a detached house in a rural area).

I know.. what's annoying is that she keeps asking me for favours and questions every single freaking day.. when I have to listen to her juicer as well.. so I don't feel very willing to help her...

yes, your noise is worse..
I can't even begin to imagine the drilling at 6 am.. that is bad..
hope it finishes soon.

Re: Loud juicer ... yes another noise complaint

I really do not see how someone using the said juicer three times a day would actually ruin your life, but then again I am not in that situation...If it really bothers you can you ask her to please stop doing it? about the picking up of children...just say no period, you do not need to give a reason really!!!!

Re: Loud juicer ... yes another noise complaint

RE the video: He's complaining about the neighbour beating an egg, mixing her coffee with a metal spoon and how loudly her fish eat their food. At the end, he tells his buddies he'll be right down for the tattoo drum practice.

If you hear your neighbour turning on her juicer three times a day, you need to get out of that flat more.

My tip: http://www.grueneaff.ch/ (Sihlsee/Einsiedeln)

It has a small but quiet Badi with the most amazing atmosphere as the sun sets. Sitting in the lounge chairs on a wooden deck next to the lake with perhaps only 6 other guests is summer feeling pure.

Depends on the juicer. I think she said it's a vitamix (yes, very loud, I have a blendtec and know how loud it can get!). It's a cutting juicer and you really need to drink it immediately. If its a single masticator (like the champions/Green Stars - I have one these, too), you can wait a bit. If it's a double masticator and you put it in a good mason jar, with no lid, it can last for a day or so in the fridge. All in all, they all loose nutrition and defeat the purpose of juicing if you wait to long.

I can see how it would be annoying, but the cycle is short. I agree with the above. If you get along with her on other issues, is it worth falling out over? Maybe see if you can join her and make your own

Sounds you could do with 3 daily freshly blended vitamix concoctions yourself. Good nutrition does wonders for needless aggression and letting petty BS get to you.

I think you should go over and offer to help her juice.

But then again I'm a pervert.

oh no, she's not ruining my life with a juicer.. that is funny..
I just wanted to see what you people of the EF thought..

yes when I'm out all day, I don't hear it! which is great..
today I only heard it once and cuz I was rushing I didn't have time to think about it..

don't worry, I don't do anything I don't want...
that is another issue actually, that she is quite cheecky, but I know how to say no...

thanks for your advice anyway..

My neigbors moan, a lot, especially from 2 to 4am. They even moan on their balcony. I rather have an annoying juicer then the uncomfortable moan, followed by the sh*t happy grin he has when I see him each time, every day of the year, plus I have a train that passes the house every few minutes or so ALL NIGHT LONG.

People need to have problems.

If they don't have real ones, they just invent them, poof! ... like an act of magic.
