Annoyed by Microspot. What's the best way to contact them?

Totally annoyed. Bought something there, broken, sent back for reparation, and now no news since a long time ago. Tried to send email, no reply. Tried to call, every time I heard "vous etes la premier dans la file d'attente" (you are the first one in the waiting line) for 10 minutes but no one ever answered the phone.

Do they ever have an office or something where you can go and ask?

Or should I try to send a registered mail asking the situation and expressing my unsatisfaction?

Thank you. I asked their pickup in Bern but the lady told me that they were only responsible for picking up the new order.
Maybe I will try their showroom in Dietikon to see my luck.

Ps. When I called and said that it was broken they did answer the phone. The lady was very kind and said I should send back and I would receive within 1 week. Now 1 month no news...

Re: Annoyed by Microspot. What's the best way to contact them?

Hello Everyone,

I'm resurfacing this thread because of 2 poor experiences with Microspot in the last couple months. The most recent...

I bought a product (household cleaner sort of thing).
We tried it once.
It is not damaged in anyway.
It simply doesn't do what it says on the box: it leaves, heavy streaks, doesn't clean anything away.
It cost nearly 400.-fr.

We called to ask about returning it, and we have a couple choices:

1. The manufacturer won't take it back so Microspot won't take it back. This is not stated anywhere in the purchase process, and they've admitted as much. We can keep the product as a pet, dance with it, or invite it to dinner -they can't help us.

or

2. We send the item back. They check it for damages. If they ascertain the product has a malfunction, we receive 80% money back in the form of credit. How Microspot will determin who damaged the product (us or shipping or manufacturer) is up to them to decide.

Then... if they determine the product is or is not damaged, we'll have to pay for shipping to get it back to us.

The Kundenservice were rude (BTW I speak SG fluently, it has nothing to do with language) and seemed to be reading from a script. I spoke to 3 different people and received EXACTLY word for word answers.

Though I am feeling like the biggest idiot right now and about to self-combust....

I'm writing to calmly say: BUYER BE AWARE.

Happy Christmas!

Never buy from them again, prefer Amazon.de or something from abroad.

Swiss customer service is horrible and not worth our money.

Well, so it was cheap.
Imagine ordering a TV for 3000 CHF...

Most shops don't take back anything. You get store-credit. At most.

Which is OK from my view - at least, people learn not to do so many impulse-purchases. Or pay for it.

Media Markt offer a 14-day no quibble money back guarantee on electronics purchases (used it twice with no issues), and the pricematch vs Digitec. Hence why they get my business.

That's such a sweeping generalisation that even Scmidty's dodgy cleaner would struggle

You'll soon find out that they can be reactive when they are targeted by consumer's magazine

Funny you should say that.... because when I was last on the phone with a customer service rep, and it seemed like they really weren't ready to budge on anything at all, I said: "It sounds like without a lawyer there's no way to get a compromise here..."

And the rep said: "I wouldn't. We've got lots on our side".

I gave up. There's no point when it goes this far.

Anyway... it was one of those automatic window cleaners. We have a few windows that are large and difficult to reach (being a small lady!). My windows have never looked worse My kids did a better job spitting on them and wiping with their sleeves .

..... or on their FB page.
It's amazing how many companies put a high regard on what is written on social media sites when it concerns them, and isn't exactly to their benefit.

Maybe send them an email first, stating that as you're not getting any joy contacting them through email and phone, you're going to try via their FB page ...... the only thing is that everyone else will see your dissatisfaction.

Use free open source software. There are alternatives to almost any product.

Maybe more research was due?

Maybe there it's not that the thingy is broken, but just not good at its job.

If there is no malfunction (as you are admitting) why would any shop take back a used product?

If it was unopened and you just regretted a purchase, many shops will give a credit, but this is not the case here, is it?
