Re: Short Haired Women

At what age is one allowed to have short hair then?

I went to the hairdresser, and I said, it is Spring so cut it short .... and she did!

Re: Short Haired Women

For most of my life, I've had a chin to shoulder length bob. My hair just never looked great long.... I don't think every woman should have long hair....on some women it looks ratty. I never had the time or skills or hair to set, curl, braid. I did color it for about 30 years and loved the color....but now I'm liking the gray. Personally, I'd rather put on eyemakeup than style my hair.

Did you ask your hairdresser if she read the EF and what her thoughts were on the matter?

Sounds like the typical EF user then. Any pictures? Sounds like a wonderful combination.

I don't care for hair on a guy either (Sky), but this weird face art...cmon, teen students draw on their body parts with ball pens the entire day. Like....yeah. No!

Yes.

I agree with the bolded, but re: the rest I'm wondering if it's by chance that you used the adjectives "sassy" and "sexy" for the lady and "confident" and "comfortable" for the guy..
Yes this.

Apart from the fact stereotypes suck and assumptions take one nowhere. But I think I agree , personally think sexy both genders. Sassy? Hmmm..Maybe for chicks, if guys can be manly, and we can polarize while stereotyping. Confident fits both genders in a hot way, too, while comfortable, noooooo. I would not use at all..Comfortable, like trashy, or lazy...or worse...sensible? I like edgy hot, instead of comfortable. Let's keep comfortable for retirement. (not sayin pensioners aren't allowed to be hot at all)

oh come on !! a man who's comfortable with himself is hot.
He's got nothing to prove, and couldn't care less about what others think, he's his own man. A comfortable man is often relaxed with great sense of humour.
Why put up with edgy ?

Edgy in a hot way, inward.. I don't mean annoying or irritated, more aetherial..less sure of oneself. It's never too good to be too comfortable, me thinks, but I might be weird. Your description could be valid for a woman, too, to want a guy specifically want to be himself..Everyone should be themselves. Even if it is nicely, genuinely, tiny bit insecure, fidgety, questioning, curious. Relaxed...good for retirement. Hahahah, sorry, hon, I am making myself laugh, but I do link aesthetics to attitude, too. Searching spirit does not necessarily inquire after comfort. But I know what you mean.

I doubt that Confloozed wanted to know the part about her being married with kids

I think that opposites attract. If I'm tiny bit insecure, edgy in a hot way I'd prefer to be around someone more confident, relaxed or...comfortable. The looks are not important, well, not really.

I often think the same, but no.... long hair takes such a long time to care for but is so much nicer. You can make a soft chignon, or a French braid or set it for extra volume and lovely curls. That's not possible with short hair.
Well I'd say that it really depends on the person and the type of hair that they have. Just because hair is long doesn't make it necessarily lovely and adaptable.
Some hair is just ratty or lanky or fine and looks much nicer kept shorter.

Re: Short Haired Women

Face shape comes into it too, and age. I hit 50 last year and that and the fact my hair was lanky got me thinking of cutting it. Plus my mother nagging and nagging and nagging....!!!

Now, after three months it is much thicker and healthier and growing...

Re: Short Haired Women

And of course, so many women with long hair these days do not have their own- but extensions held with horrendous clips at the back of their head ...

I have a few years before I'm 50, but my mother constantly nags me too about my hair

Long hair suits me far better than short though, so I don't listen.
You can carry it off in your forties if you take good care of it and keep it shiny and soft.

Patsy and Odile, I'm sure you look beautiful with short hair.
Just as MC is beautiful with her extraordinary long silky locks.

.....no Odile, I'd stay far away from extensions.. some ladies go bald !!
