Maybe they want a change & get bored spending 1.5 hours drying it every day.

It's not the long hair that makes a woman beautiful you know. A beautiful woman is still beautiful whether her hair is long or short.
Beauty is very subjective in any case.

On reading the article it seems the only "damaged" person is the writer...

My hair is 2ft long and I don't spend 1,5hr daily drying it. Hiking to work with wet hair builds character, Heathcliff.

Re: Short Haired Women

Some women like to accentuate their long, sleek neck.

As an adolescent, this was my first loin-stirring image of how sexy a short-haired woman could look:

I'm not only an old man but I'm an old man who has always loved to see women with long hair. They are beautiful works of art.

I disagree (yeah I know, surprise surprise ), to me nothing is sexier than a woman with short hair, as it accentuates her natural facial beauty.

Most women, as they get older, lose some density to their hair so long hair can end up looking dry, stringy, thin and tatty.

I will definitely chop my hair if it goes like this. Right now, it is thick, long, wavy and in reasonable condition, although, as FMF says, for me it takes best part of two hours to dry if I don't blast it with a hairdryer, but what's the point of hanging onto long hair if it's down to your bum but all wispy, split and grey?

Re: Short Haired Women

I noticed a few short-haired women lately with very funky hairstyles, but while I am usually a long hair fan, they did admittedly look great.

However, a beautiful woman is a beautiful woman... short or long hair doesn't change that, although of course some suit different styles more than others.

The problem is that you need a pretty face in order to pull it off, as having short hair accentuates and highlights your facial features. If you were not gifted with a pretty mush, then you will likely look less flattering than you did with long hair.

You hit the nail on the head!
Besides...I don't lose time taking care of my hair. Some asked me "why, you had such a beautiful hair"...why? I feel liberated!

Yes and thats effectively what im saying in a way, All women know that men prefer long hair over short, so when a woman does get a short haircut, she is essentially giving the middle finger to men....Liberation?

Do you not think that you're reading to much into it?

Anyway, it's easier for a short haired woman to put on a long haired wig when she fancies a change.

You also have to appreciate the concept of the whole situation ....... strong, powerful, villainous, sadistic - and with short hair.

But as Sandgrounder pointed out above not everyone is blessed with long, thick, flowing locks.
Regardless of how pretty a face is I don't think long thin straggly hair is very flattering.
