Thank you so much for the reminder! I had been planning to go to the store tomorrow but completely forgot that tomorrow is May 1st and so the stores will be closed here (canton Zurich / village Greifensee). So I just threw on my coat and boogied up to the store before it closed.

We planned to have two couples over for dinner tomorrow and I was hiking on Wednesday when someone reminded me that stores were closed Saturday

Did all of the shopping today; just hope I didn't forget anything.

Also, hope I manage to prepare something edible given my pastry fiasco earlier this week!

To hedge my bets, I bought plenty of wine in case I need to make up for the cuisine

here in the countryside, the small village shops always make sure one of them is opened, come what may- brilliant.

My first weekend back here after 3 months locked down in the UK... boy did I pick a good one!


Had a whole day of shopping planned tomorrow (looking for a specific item) and colleagues coming for dinner on Sunday.


Instead, hurry home from work and fight my way through the crowds at Sihlcity Coop.


Almost no beer left on the shelves by ten to 8 this evening!*
