Car scratched in garage - Concierge said not possible

I'm not having a good day and it's just got worse, so forgive me if I rant...
I came home from work yesterday and parked in my interior garage spot. I get up this morning to go shopping and there are 5 deep scratch marks on my car boot (nearest to the back wall). It was early so I did the shopping and came back to see the concierge to see if there's any CCTV. Saw that the concierge has been signed off sick and there's someone else stepping in (The old concierge guy who has always been nice)
Phone all morning, but no answer. Just got through to him and he's looked at the car and said no, it can't have happened here. It's impossible. I said that some workers had the doors open when I came in on Friday. No CCTV. There is also a store cupboard at the back which had a rake and gardening stuff in, but I don't really think they fit the marks - I think it has been keyed. He just pushed the door closed when I opened it, sayinng impossible over and over. He just kept saying that it couldn't have happened here. No-one elses car has been scratched.
It did though. I haven't been anywhere else! I put stuff in the boot on Friday and would have noticed if there were these massive scratches.
The meeting didn't end well. He just walked off saying I was wrong and it didn't happen here, with me saying(possibly verging on shouting by this point) it did. My husband is away.
I guess I just have to let it go, but I'm furious at the way he dismissed me. Should I complain about him or just get over it and hope he doesn't put any more scratches on my car?!

If it happened there what difference does it make? It's your problem regardless.

Sounds like it's going to be hard to prove unless you can get the CCTV footage you mention.

Do you have parking damage covered on your insurance? That might be your best course of action. Give your insurance company a ring.

Our car got dented and scratched in a car park a few years ago - not sure if it was another car or an out of control supermarket trolley, but either way nobody left a note 'fessing up to their crime .

The insurance company were really uncomplicated - get it fixed and send them the bill. Can't remember if we had to pay an excess, it was 5 or 6 years ago.

Even if you prove it, nothing is achieved......

What colour is your car .... is it silver, grey, white or similar?
Sometimes scratches on these colours don't show up obviously in natural light, and only become apparent in artificial lighting conditions.

Re: Car scratched in garage - Concierge said not possible

Thanks for thinking, but the car is black and the 5 scratches are white. It's an old car, so not the end of the world.
I was more upset that the concierge just said that it was impossible to have happened in the garage. Especially as I've since spoken to a neighbour who told me about some strange guys hanging around the apartments last week. The police were called, as the guys had got into the block and were in the stairwell, but the guys were gone by the time they got there.
Anyway, I presume the concierge guy won't do anything until something happens to someone elses car.

We got a new car and it already got damaged lots of times. Nobody has ever left a note...

Try not to let it get to you and get a good insurance indeed.
