If you're regularly using it for transporting foodstuff I wouldn't recommend the shoe spray unless the only food you're transporting is completely sealed. | | | | | I do mean waterproofing spray, yes. It's made of backpack (???) cloth/nylon/whatever. Tend to carry all kinds of things in it, non-sealed food included |

Took the 4.21am train from Bern to Zurich Airport (no, not going on holiday) - I get stuck in a compartment with a group of giggling 6 girls who play music from three different players out loud all at once, while screaming at each other over the noise and when I told them to shut it they informed me they are going on holiday...(my reply was unsuitable for the ears of most small children...) with any luck, their flight was cancelled.

Dog owners who (a) permit their dogs to do their business in agricultural fields and/or (b) throw the wrapped up "business" into such fields.
I adore dogs, but I couldn't help noticing that some (and certainly not all!) dog owners are using the fields around me for this purpose. Very often, you see the tied up bags lying in between the crops or (more oftener) dogs in action. So far, they have grown wheat, soya, rape seeds, and legumes - produce that we do consume!

I've seen this too vuachère! It's like they're thinking the law says I have to put it in a bag but the bin is too far (at least 1 minutes walk). It's not like you can lose a bag of dog poo by accident!

The plastic bags aside, I fail to see your point:
Typical natural fertilizer are cow poo and swine poo, a little dog poo makes no difference.

As observed by neddy, the special bins for the dog poop is not that far off... and weirdly, there is a higher frequency of dog poop bags in the fields nearer to a given bin.
As to why dog poop might not be a good natural compost for plants meant for ingesting: http://sarasota.ifas.ufl.edu/compost...og-waste.shtml |

The same caveats apply to all kinds of poop, including cats doing their thing in their owners or neighbors vegetable patch. It's part of the reason why fruits and vegetables are to be washed before preparation/consumption.

It will ruin huge batches and cause sickness in cows, and will even kill the cow or horse if the bag is ingested. NOT funny... at all It is NOT the same kind of poop- as for those people bag it up, then throw in field- pure stupidity! If you are not going to put the bag in the special bins, or any bins for that matter- don't pick it up and bag it!!! People do so, to be seen to pick up- and when sure no-one is looking, chuck it in a hedge or field- how vastly stupid! And cans and bottles thrown in fields also get mashed up in hay or straw or other crops- and cause terrible injuries and even death too

As for dog/cat crap and fields, the horse's cow's dung is from pure herbivores and therefore it - as opposed to dog/cat (omnivore/carnivore) do - is useful for the crops.

People who leave their bags on the seat next to them on an obviously full train
Anti-rant - kudos to the older lady on the train last night who picked up the bag and dropped it right in the guys lap onto the newspaper he was reading, and said "Danke" very loudly as she sat down | The following 5 users would like to thank newtoswitz for this useful post: | |

The members that write
"I'm a third-country (Non-EU/EEA) national from a third world country
or "I am non EU living in Switzerland
why don't they write I am "African" or "Asian" ?
