I raise you the colleague who had a custard filled Danish yesterday for breakfast - when I say breakfast, they (him and the Danish) arrived at the desk at 8am, the Danish was then left wafting its sweet aromas for 3 hours before being eaten - 30mins before he went for lunch.

Re: The micro-RANT thread

Your yogurt comment reminds me of a psychiatrist I used to know. She kept "Activa" brand yogurt in her office and CONSTANTLY offered it to anyone who would listen, but otherwise kept strangely mute. I remember her saying, "It's Activa, do you want it? It's Active!" over and over almost as if she may have been OCD or slightly Autistic? I don't know....It takes all kinds, I guess.

He joyfully anticipated having the pastry for three hours. That's much more satisfying than eating it right away and then being sorry for three hours because he's eaten it already

Psychiatrists, psychologists, doctors, dentists, or for that matter plumbers, cleaners, tailors or cleaners who "keep strangely mute".

Yeah. Whoever thought that would be a good feature to include on a cell phone needs to taken outside, hung by his toes, and made to listen to a dozen phones going click-click-click for a few hours. Gaaaahhhhh, that's annoying!

I was worried there for a moment, but then I noticed you said "her desk" and not "his desk".

Now where was I ? ah yes ... scrape, scrape, scrape ...

Get an app for your phone which listens for the scrape scrape scrape sound and makes some suitably rude or annoying noise in response. It won't stop the scrape scrape scrape, but you will enjoy it more when it happens.

This reminds me of friends that ordered a new car and were told they would have to wait for 10 weeks.
"What! 10 weeks!"
Salesman "Ah but think of the anticipation!"
