The micro-RANT thread

A lot of things and people annoy me on a daily basis, but somehow don't quite reach the threshold for a post in the esteemed 'Complaints Corner'....

Voila! a thread where small rants can now be aired without the need to start a new one or seethe in silence.

So, I was driving through the tunnel this morning (100 km/h) keeping a safe distance to the car in front when some idiot races past me, cuts in front and then slams on the anchors causing me to do likewise (and drop my coffee and iPad) :msnmad:

Did you cut yourself shaving at the same time?
Or did it cause you to smudge your lipstick?

;)

Yeah, sorry about that. If I'd seen you weren't paying attention I wouldn't have risked the sudden braking:msncrazy:

Foreign plated car accelerates as soon as I put my foot on the crossing and cuts in front of me.

Idiot car getting in the way of an ambulance.

Bunch of Germans blocking the exit to the tram. I had to shoulder my way through  ... and then I realised it was their stop as well... :o ... and then i realised they were going to the same building as me... :o :o:msnblush:

My micro rant then of the day is the bloke who lets his dogs out to go crap wherever - got a large deposit that requires removal out there but it's raining so I will wait till it dries out & is less likely to stick to the spade.

I invented a solution to the wet dog crap problem!
Stick a long length of metal rod into ground as signal to prevent crap being trodden on, wait a few days for it to dry, and deposit it out in the pathway of dog-walkers! Dry so it doesnt stick to spade.

Damn dog walkers let their dogs off the leash before end of dogwalking dirt road just where we have a small gravel "extra" unfenced driveway entrance, dog runs onto property, hoopy-stoops and evacuates while owner admires trees of neighbor - while dangling orange poop packet from leash handle.

Now we have to fence and gate that piece of land TOO!

My complaint is that some mod here needs two threads to whine about the small things in life. Seems like first world problems only are not sufficient.

Of course I wouldn't call him a drama queen;)

If you know where he lives, stick it in his post box with a note that he left it behind. Ideally, you do this just after the post man has put some mail in the box.

The two are distinctly different. The FWP are a sub-genre of complaints where the complainant emphasises their privilege by whiny, self-indulgent navel-gazing.

Exactly - in FWP Castro indicated his penis to be slightly shorter than average by highlighting he drove a nearly new BMW. Where as in this thread he indicated it wasn't the size of his penis that mattered just that he was a penis for trying to multitask while driving. :p:eek::D

I can't even find my navel in the layers of fat let alone gaze at it.

The dog crap bloke is a neighbor who just lets the dogs out. They wander around, crap where they want & go back indoors. Usually the dogs have the decency to use the vineyard but on this occasion one obviously thought my newly mowed grass looked more inviting. I will try the post method mentioned but that will probably just give the moles a headache. Or maybe a post with a sign attached & a down arrow saying "your dog crap is here".

How long have you lived here?? You need to learn from the Swiss.

1) Get a stack of the doggy-poop bags
2) Collect the poop in the bag
3) Tie off the bag
4) Post bag into offenders letter box OR place in the "package" section.

Buy some cheap, very strong chilli powder from an Asian shop. Sprinkle it every day on your lawn, dogs hate the smell of chilli powder.

Empty a bag full of chilli powder in front of the neighbour's gate, late on Friday evening. Watch carefully on Saturday morning, they will not leave his garden and they will be forced to relieve themselves in his garden.

Altenatively, have the balls to approach your neighbour and tell him to stop letting his bloody muts crap in your garden, or you'll shoot them.
Even if you don't have a gun, it should act as a deterrent.

Maybe the local fox or someones cat will eat it if I leave it there.
I haven't discovered a shop to buy balls in Swiss ...

. . . . . every day on the train - the chewing gum `poppers` (wa*kers)- the newspaper slammers (that is those unable to turn the pages of newspapers normally - I could go on and on . . but that would contravene a micro rant.
