Some days are better than others

So I'm at the border after some shopping in Lorrach, the big one near the airport, and like everyone else, pull over to get my green paper stamped.

There's a lass in a Renault 4x4 (BL Plate)with her reverse lights on, so I stop, flash my lights (holding up all the traffic behind me) and wait while instead of reversing into the moving traffic behind her, she parks up and wanders off. OK, so far so dull, left me wondering what her intentions were, but never mind. I park up behind her.

Our lass pops out with the form, and let's call her Mrs. Angry Face, comes back, gets in, reverse lights again, but here's the thing, the road is completely open in front of her and all she needs to do is drive off and merge later.

What she prefers to do, whilst I'm trying to visibly shrug in her mirror (genuinely haven't a Scooby Doo), she gets out, shouts A******, gives me the finger and then drives off.

I'd like to think that as she drove off she was chastened by the knowledge that she got it wrong, but I doubt it.

Got home and found my Vespa had been knocked over and dented very badly. A telephone number was left, so we called. Nary an apology was heard. I have a newborn, use this scooter for work and have very little spare holiday between now and Christmas. So it's going to be a proper pain.

No apology, and I know I should be pleased that a number was left at all, but for crying out loud. My car was rear ended by some div texting a while ago, now this. Two vehicles in pristine condition now both involved in accidents.

Say sorry for the inconvenience at least no? Rrrrrrrrrrrr

Bummer. Rule of the road #1 - all other drivers are idiots.

On the bright side, you've suggested possibly the best ever username for EF: "Mrs. Angry Face"
