How to reduce rating for a englishforum member

I am bit surprised and moreover annoyed at how people behave .
I had some stuffs to give for free and this person ( who messaged me through englishforum ) decided to come over to my home to take these items today.

Since it was working hours my wife was only at home with the child. He came and pressed the ringing bell for 10 times which woke up my sleeping child. Then my wife gave him both the items. He looked at them and took it. When I came back from office, I saw that one item has been kept outside the building ( as he expected magically I would be taking it back ). He took the other item with himself . I am pissed at this person not because he returned it , but because he did not have the decensy to return it properly to my wife. I really would like to add some rating to this englishforum member so that others know about his behaviour well in advance. Ofcourse he can create another account and get stuffs he need.

PS: The item is in good condition and really would help someone in need.
Lesson Learnt: Do not give items to people who have low forum posts .

Re: How to reduce rating for a englishforum member

firstly you can't give -ve rep to someone if you yourself are negative. i gave you some green rep now so you can go red rep him

just click the scale button next to one of his posts.

Re: How to reduce rating for a englishforum member

Not a pleasant experience since you were giving items away for free. You got some more greenies from me too

Hope you get to give the second item away and don't have to bin it considering it was left outside your building without your knowledge.

As long as you don't mention the person's email address or phone number, you'd be fine

Yep, it is. And it seems like that person is all about taking and getting things handed to them. What goes around comes around, so no need to worry...

He he.. seems like the person was not that bad but just being lazy.

I got offended and asked him to bring back the other free item and guess what he did ( surprise ! ) .

So I am not going to go against any legal action

Umm, how is leaving an item outside your building without telling you not being an ass? It's both bad and lazy.

Surprised he brought the other free item back though as he had no reason to!

Probably more to do with the fact he has an EF thread dedicated to his behaviour has made him bring back said item. If you hadn't started a thread about it, he probably wouldn't have given it a second thought.

Dumping a freely given item on someone's doorstep straight after receiving it is the height of bad manners.

Re: How to reduce rating for a englishforum member

I always thought it was 'unwritten law' when picking up free things on the forum that one should bring a bottle of wine or something as a thank-you.

Anyone else do that, or is it just me?

cheers
SC
