I wouldn't be so sure he actually believes everything he wrote; plus at times he tries to play the role of some sort of stand-up comedian - read his latest long post. All in all - a very refreshing "troll". Hope he doesn't get banned - that would be so double-standard...after all, even lost_in_broad has made it to the top.

We are all influenced by our prejudices, even you. And the OP may have been telling his truth, but as this is a discussion forum, to assume everyone will nod and smile and fall into line behind the accusations - and the angry hurt of it all - is a bit naive.

In my experience, some folk who profess to be open-minded can be anything but. I have a broad mind, but it has its limits.

It's how society works - in civilised cultures, at least. Some people enjoy more privileges than others by virtue of their seniority and earned respect.

I've no desire to see him banned either. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. It is a private set of facts that I object to, particularly when that private set of facts is used to develop an argument which moves along racist lines to protest against racism. If someone claims "All Swiss are X" you will probably find me questioning the claim, even if "X" happens to be "Swiss". The Swiss are as individual and homogenous as any other group of people. Sentences or propositions which begin with "All" generally tend to be tautologies.

Well I wouldn't ignore the person shouting at the teenagers either if I were sure they did nothing to deserve it. So your standards of a "civilized" culture are obviously different to mine. But how would I know? You are from a "civilized" culture but we are from "sh*t" countries.
