Re: 9 months in Switzerland - a honest report.

Hi JohltaVontra

As a 100% Swiss I have to say that your honest report is just great! It shows that you have a good sense of humor and obviousely are able to spark a discussion. Of course one could argue that your report is a bit superficial too, but definitely not boring;-)

But it is also true, that I feel sorry for you that you feel not welcomed. But I am sure with so much to tell about Swiss people I could talk to you certainly longer than 1-2 minutes;-) Basically we Swiss are very happy to use our English which is sometimes a bit stiff but we are always willing to show off a bit what we have learnt in school. In this regard, I vively could imagine that even our as you call it 'arrogant' women would give you a chance to enchant them with your near flawless English.

Give us another chance, please, please to prove that we can party too. Honestly we are not boring nor superficial. I strongly suspect that you just visited the wrong places or spoke to people (mayb not even Swiss) who were a bit overwhelmed of your approaching.

Maybe we don't meet such interesting poeple like you everyday so it might need a bit more time to break the ice. But I am sure with your positive attidude you will find somebody you can talk to. Good luck.

Best,
Welcome

Everyone got the rights to their own opinion, nevertheless, I personally disagree with most of those points.

For sure someone lifestyle doesn't necessarily need to affect me. if you complain about the slow pace of their life, yes maybe its a bit slower than in eastern European countries but its takes them many years to reach that level, so I actually appreciate it.
