This is surely a finely-crafted troll post from someone who knows this forum well. It's simply too cute and pushes too many buttons. (The inclusion of the "isn't it" maybe pushed it over the edge of obviousness.)
And yet everyone seems to deliver as usual...

Parking fees did the click for me.

I always insist on tap water. Zurich water is just fine.

Don't be so ridiculous. We eat out about once a week and have never ever in all the years we've lived here paid 50chf for water for the three of us.
All the restaurants we go to offer bottled water in a variety of sizes but 0.5l or 1.0l are the most common. A litre bottle is about 6chf.
If you just want normal tap water and not the fancy bottled stuff you get that for free with a meal around here.

Nope. I read it as that on his first post and now I can only read it as that. It is a very apt username IMO.

I typically drink 1 liter, and often 1.5L, of bubbly water during dinner.

We're not all little people, you know.
I know people of consuming 1.5L of wine with a big meal, I prefer to stop at 1 bottle

I wouldn't because I wouldn't drink 1.5 liters.

Shoot, I again took the bait...
Darn troll.

Actually, it's the other way around. If Captain Greybeard drank 1.5 bottles of wine, then the ladies (and not just those in Hollywood) would look a lot younger, and there would probably be twice as many of them.

Perhaps I'm confusing CG with FMF...

If I drank 1.5 liters of water per meal I'd spend most of the day in the bathroom, where no one cares how old I look.

Well, yeah.

I once told an old friend of mine that I was wondering why all the people in the streets always smile at me. He said, "Frankly, the first time I saw you I had a good chuckle too."

With insight like that, you're well-positioned to work for the Trump administration. Quit wasting your time on EF, you seem to have all the qualifications necessary for deputy press secretary!

Lest this be falsely interpreted, no, I do not agree with the premise.

Not only that. With his expertise in economics he would make a great Secretary of the Treasury too. Or in view of him having ordered bottled water in several countries he might even become Secretary of State.
