Hi, have to rant a bit, and provide a warning.
I researched a mover to move my piano from nyon to zürich.
I received an offer in writing from Todan transport in Geneva, I was looking for a move where they'd combine my piano with another shipment going to zürich. Which is what they offered, I accepted the offer signed it returned it clarified pick up, pickup Friday two weeks later, and delivery dates with them over the phone done deal.
Then one day prior to the scheduled pickup, this joker presumably the owner of the company calls and says they can't do the job for the offered price and won't be picking up the piano!! I was in london at the time and had organized all sorts around the promised pickup including return flights to be there for the pick up.
This guy provides no explanation, provides no alternatives just says they can't do it for the quoted price. I tried reasoning with him, having a signed offer and having planned stuff around the delivery this jerk simply reiterates that they can't do it for the offered price and then hangs up on me.
I called back asking if he could offer an alternative, he sad he could do it for chf 1400, I had a signed offer from him for chf390!!!

So end of the day I got screwed around by Todan transport, and in hindsight did a search and found bad reviews on him.
I should have got a hint when along with his written offer he sent
Reference letters and names etc of satisfied customers.
Anyway bad bad business.
I suggest they be avoided.

Get someone else to do it and sue him for the difference.

The hassle of it probably isn't worth it. I'm moving it my self,(with some borrowed muscle and moving van). But thank you.

You are probably quite right...... and of course, he knows this, but naming and shaming as you have done wont do his business any good, so that's a step in the right direction. Sorry you had to go through this hassle though
