Train Station Toilets

So, I've always had a world class experience, for me, using the bathrooms in the train stations here. Today though, not so much. I look like semi normal guy. Even not yet going to sleep after an allnighter in Zurich. However, my stomach is a bit quezzy and I needed to take extra long in the toilet. But I'm not actually "done". But I just got kicked out of the toilets. Is there a time limit or kilo weight capacity you're allowed in there? I've never took the time to look for a rule book. First she told me "gehts", rather yelled it at me. Then she unlocked the door and rushed me mid "motion". Do I have to get off the pot and pay 2 CHF each time I "pass" one out? Why the aggressiveness? It's not like I was doing any kind of incredible moaning or crashing noises.
I'm out of change now and a little perplexed at what to do next. This happened in Basel btw.

Re: Train Station Toilets

When you've got young kids and one needs to go - they need to go quickly.

There's nothing worse than having one of those inconsiderate b**stards hogging the loo for ages as your child is hanging on for dear life.

Go in, do your stuff get out. If you don't need to go then wait until you do.

Perhaps she though you were a drug addict or one of those people that likes to hand around the toilets?

You didn't actually say for how long you were in there.

Re: Train Station Toilets

I didn't write down what time I entered; as per usual. I did have to go when I went in. Then I had to go again, and again, and again. Upset stomach. And it wasn't even that busy. I don't know, 20 minutes?

That is absurd. What if you’re mid crap and someone starts to bang on the door. Just a dumb thing.

Well that's basically what happened. Except also unlocking it trying to force her way in.

Re: Train Station Toilets

Use the loo above 15min and I'm all for getting you out (unless you yell something that would make me think twice )

On aircraft toilets (especially in Economy class) I'd say the limit should be 5min. Stay longer than that, and I'll happily open the toilet (flap up, move the slider, and it's open, easy as 1-2-3, by the way..)

Oh, the blissful ignorance of those with healthy innards!

Illness, medication, IBS... there are all sorts of reasons why a sortie might involve more than a single drop over Hamburg and home in time for tea.

But even if someone is engrossed in a particularly exciting level of Angry Birds, does it really justify being shrieked at and exposed in one's trouser-manacled glory for all to see?

A gentle knock on the door and an enquiry after one's health should be enough of a hint for most people, no?

I would have taken the woman’s name and written a snotty letter to the management company. Or would a shitty letter be better?

I'm tempted to do it. There's no reason she couldn't of asked first if everything was allright before getting that upset. It's not like a Friday night and a full house.

I'd leave it. She was rude, but she's probably paid very little to do a literally shitty job.

The consequences might possibly outweigh the discomfort you experienced.

Apparently they have keys for the doors. So she unlocked my locked door. I had to jump up and push against the door to force her from coming in. I really don't see what was so important or she thought she would accomplish.

Re: Train Station Toilets

Guy in bar, heading for the restroom. Locked. Standing around, legs tightly closed. Trying again after a minute, of course still locked. Some half-suppressed moaning sounds from the other side. Guy, almost prancing now, desperately knocks on the door, yelling, "Hurry up! I've got the runs!"

Voice from the inside of the stall: "Mmmmman, [another moan], yo lucky!"
