Dog poo bags adorning trees

Not a complaint as such and not a pleasant subject but I just don't get what goes through some people's minds to want to spend their time to tie (clean) dog poo bags to the branches of trees.
Yesterday I noticed the street cleaner/waste bin emptier person spending his time having to rip all the bags off a tree where they had been tied to branches. It is on a known dog walk path and it seems to be happening time and again. Is the message to clean up after your pooch? I don't know, I don't get it. Surely they are making litter of their own and causing more work into the bargain

Re: Dog poo bags adorning trees

Some people are selfish idiots, pure and simple.

There is no excuse - none - for not picking up and properly disposing of your dog's waste.

We have Robidogs* readily accessible - use them. It's as simple as that.

Here I have to call on fellow dog owners to use the art of moral suasion. When you see someone not picking up, or leaving their bag in a tree for the 'poo fairy' to deal with, call that person on it. Irresponsible idiots tar us all with their bad behaviour.

*And whatever the new bins are called.

Umm, OP mentioned that the bags are 'clean', not full of poo.

Most likely as a service for those to lazy to have one on hand.

Oops.

Time for a visit to the Augenarzt methinks.

I've not see clean poo bags in trees, only the full ones - which for the life of me I can't understand as it's more trouble to tie a bag to a tree than toss it in the Robidog. Makes my blood boil.

Are the clean bags in trees along routes with sparse Robidog coverage? What a strange thing to do...

Most people round here simply tie a bag to their lead, that way you always have the necessary to hand.

We shouldn't forget the safety risk for dogs.
It might happen that a dogs walks under a tree, the bags falls and the dog may have severe injuries.

To protect the dogs for such dangers, I would recommend to take such bags home if you see them.

Yes, there are clean dog bags tied to a tree. Along about a 800m path there are 2 robidogs and 2 litter bins. That's why I think it's so daft for the culprits to tie clean bags to trees. It just ain't necessary.

It could also just be some stupid youngsters playing a prank...

I also quite often see "full" dog bags on the street.... Why....WHY??? Recently I see more and more poo left on or on the side of the street, but never caught anyone who left it there...

My path to lunch goes through a path beloved by dog walkers.

Almost every day I find a full dog bag placed right in the middle of the pedestrian bridge. There's a bin 5 meters away, in both directions.

It gives an unbelievable bad look to dog owners. But I guess if you are cheeky enough to leave a plastic bag full of dog poo right next to a kindergarten school, you really don't care about how your tribe will be perceived by others...

I also find empty plastic bags tied to the trees around here. I took for granted it's there for people who forgot their own.

Re: Dog poo bags adorning trees

I see poop bags (with poop) in the middle of the walking path where I live, too. I'm assuming someone picked up someone else's dog's poop and left it there as a passive aggressive way of reminding dog owners to pick up their dog's poop. It's pretty effing lazy to leave poop on a path when there are SO many poop bag "stations" and garbage cans around!

Re: Dog poo bags adorning trees

The worst is full bags left in the middle of walking/cycling tracks. They might quite an impressive, and offensive, pattern when you inadvertently ride over them with your 2.5 inch MTB tyres .
