Sunrise sucks

Good morning,

I am new in this forum and jut got the perfect moment to write my first thread.

I arrived in Switzerland and ordered a SIM CARD with a prepaid package for 140 CHF in Sunrise. I needed to do my identification through an APP using a QR code they should have sent me by e-mail. No QR code was sent, so after I called them many times to send me that code with my international phone (which costs a fortune), I had to go to the shop in Zürich to do this. They were not able to help there, but after pushing them for a while, they finally did it.

Well, one problem solved. I should have received the sim card in two days, as the guy in the shop told me. After a week, still nothing. I called them again (another fortune) and they told me that the ID checker was done properly and they would accelerate this process, so I would receive the card in two days (again).

After five days, guess what. Now I contacted them again to simply cancel it, but they told me they are not able to help. So who is able to help in Sunrise? They can't fix the problem and they can't cancel it because suddenly they have an IT PROBLEM. Their solution was to buy another one and payed double (great), but now they would send me the card in two days (fantastic, I can't wait) and when it arrives (this is going to be intereting) I can refuse it by post.

Anyone has the same experience with this company? Any advice? I am so annoyed . I have always used Swisscom and I had 0 problems with them. Now I spend my free time talking with Sunrise unable-to-do-anything customer care.

Buy a prepaid card first? Saves you the money for international calls

Sorry you are going through this experience.
Service levels are the main reason I stay with Swisscom. No complaints so far.
Had a very very bad experience with Orange (now SALT) and that completely turned me off them.

So, you're new to this forum and you've just arrived in switzerland. But somehow you've always used Swisscom without problems.

You went to the sunrise shop and they weren't able to help. Only they did.

And somehow, them sending you a QR code cost you money. (Never heard of wifi apparenly).

I think your post is somewhat testicular.

I changed Inet and TV because my wife said its cheaper. Also, she said I should change my fon contract, too. Yet Sunrise is a pain in the popo because their TV box sucks. The whole handling is terrible, the interface is horrible and the Netflix feature does not work throughout, I often have to reset the whole thing which is annoying. Further, I have trouble using Sky. They offered me the TV free of charge until February as then they come out with a new TV product. But it is 100% decided yet that I will go back to Swisscom.

It was cheaper. And I used Swisscom when I was living in Switzerland before, some years old. They helped me with the ID checker in the sop, but notjing else. I am still waiting!
