So here is an update.

Finally, the item was dispatched by Samsung. To the very same address they couldn't figure out for more than three months. Out of blue, now they were suddenly able to send.

Except for the fact that just two days ago I moved to another apartment in the same building. Different entrance though, so the new address...

And what a nice surprise - suddenly I get emails and sms from the post 'your consignment could not be delivered; return to the sender'.

Never mind that I paid to the post 30 CHF for all post forwarding ahead of my move to the new address. In the same building...
Never mind that I updated my new address in the Samsung profile as well on the day of the move, despite all logistics that the move entails...

it's just too much to figure this out, is it?

So yes, it has now been apparently sent back to Samsung.

So Samsung pls enjoy my gift to you.

You know you can configure the delivery of any package via the post.ch website, right? Set up notifications to tell you it is on the way the day before and then configure how you want to receive it? https://www.post.ch/en/receiving-mai...eceipt-of-mail

If the item is being 'returned to sender' it means it has already been tried to be delivered to you and has been waiting at the post office for over a week before being sent back. As useless as Samsung may have been, you could have avoided this by being a little more savvy.

I don't get this... You first receive an email saying it's on way then an SMS to say will be delivered today. Then if not home a paper in mailbox. Did none of this happen? Swiss post has been a little hit and miss but sounds odd none of the above happened? Also why did they not forward the package? Did you include packages in your mail forward? If I remember correctly this is an additional option.

Of course I know I can configure it. No need to tell me this. And yes, notifications are indeed set as permanent setting in my account.

No, they never tried to deliver it nor it was waiting at the post office for a week. It was returned the very next day to Samsung. The very first email/sms I received on Thursday 13/08 from the post reads:

"Hello Mr. MikeDragos
The following consignment could not be delivered."

Funny, when I track the status I get the following results:

Yes, exactly. None of this ever happened. It seems it was registered by Samsung on Thursday morning, and something was not working with the postal system and they simply decided to return it to them.

The best is - if you go to customer service center and you wish to initiate inquiry, you can only do so if you are the sender. If you are on the receiving end, you get a message 'pls contact the sender'...

sure...

EDIT: just double checked the invoice, and yes, I have parcel forwarding activated as well, the price of 8 CHF per parcel...
