What I mean - take those motor homes for example - more often than not, some old guy driving it uphill 20kmh on road that doesn't allow safe overtaking and motor home barely fits on the road, having queue of 50 other cars behind him. Would he stop at some convenient safe spot and let the rest overtake him? Of course not, he couldn't give a nanofraction of a f__k about anybody else on the road.
And when you finally get to a good stretch of road where you could overtake then suddenly he's flooring it.

It could be same person behind normal car, still driving annoyingly slow for no good reason but at least not as extremely slow due to crappy vehicle chosen to move around a road not built for those.

Personality is the issue, motor homes just highlight it more.
Well, they may have a good reason... I crossed the gotthard a few times in my VW T4 van back in the day, loaded with camping gear and a 150cc motorscooter. That car just did not have the hp to go faster that 30 on the twisty bits. And I am truely sorry from the bottom of my heart that some of us dont have or want to spend the money for a fancier car just so we dont inconvenience you.

I think Guns'n'roses said it best in track #12 of their Spaghetti Incident album. Its kind of my tune to play when theres a pushy car driver behind me.

Dunno, I think Lee Ving and Fear said it better when they wrote the song.

Re: Rant: Motor Homes slowing down traffic

The current amount Swiss driving over the passes in their motor homes is a new phenomenon. Itís due to Covid travel restrictions and safety measurements, but they certainly slow up traffic, which can lead to increased accidents. Pass driving is dangerous as it is but with slow vehicles, it can become even more dangerous.

Then there's some ***hole Police with a gun waiting around the next corner after you've overtaken the snail.

On the radio they just said, those who want to drive across any mountain pass the coming week-end should install winter tires first!

Not sure why they're allowed to go at 120 km/h
They're not, 80km/h is still the limit for trailers (for some 100km/h next year).

Not really. Just adapt to the circumstances.

Sorry, but that's really offensive. WE are the worst drivers in the mountains, not those Germans.
By 'WE' I presume that you mean 'Dutch'?

Claiming all the glory, as usual!

And to murky the waters, drivers from Milan are just as bad if hills or curves are involved!

And I've certainly done 130+ with a motorcycle trailer.

In the snow, with my daughter driving back from AG.

And on back roads in Italy, even, 20 years ago.
