Re: Salt - a carton box for 25 francs

I have been a Swisscom customer for 11 years now. Twice I have had to return original equipment and cables: once after they sent me an upgraded router for free and once, recently, when I ordered and paid for a newer router. In both cases I brought the router and cables in a Migros bag and they said, "Thanks."
Nothing was noted, nothing signed. Just "here you go" and I left. End of story.

^^ as should be! So far I'm having an impeccable service from UPC too.

Unfortunately the full product and tariff brochure from that time isn't archived, but the product FAQ is and it says:.
In that case I stand corrected, although I still think that everything should be fully noted in the contract itself which I carefully read, not least because the conditions in a website can change from day to day and, therefore, this can effectively change the conditions that you originally signed. That the employees themselves defended this as being part of a device shows how obscure this is.

It's still outrageous to have to pay for a cardboard box, it's the tackiest thing I've gone through in terms of customer service.

Re: Salt - a carton box for 25 francs

My firm opinion is that customers like those should suffer in hell, or at least be banned from that company forever.
Narrow-minded nitpickering, that don't get that a really good offer has its price so far that every extra will be invoiced.

You should go straight to Swisscom as suggested above, pay the surplus of 50 to 70 CHF per month for +/- the very same, compared to salt , in order to stay unbothered when you return the device. A company that even lets their customers pay for their new, stupid proprietary boxes ...

A similar "sensitive" person like you even brought that very same whining to a newspaper: https://blog.derbund.ch/derpoller/in...15/liebe-salt/

And BTW, it's a bit more than the usual cardboard, it's a reusable, very solid box with layers: https://www.englishforum.ch/tv-inter...ml#post2943794

PS: labeled as "accessories", and

and english: https://fiber.salt.ch/sites/default/...522_GTC_EN.pdf

What a silly post.
Any arguments beside your usual meaningless one-liner plus fullquote?

Considering all what I've saved over the years compared to my first contract with swisscom.....I'd say 25 CHF is nothing.
This, I can't agree more.

I have four lanes (2 with unlimited everything + EU and US, 2 with everything unlimited in CH) for 95 CHF/M, and it is twice as low as was with Sunrise for a similar package with worse conditions (only mean Internet speeds and the network coverage here).
Also, when I was prolonging two lanes, Salt rep offered me a promotional deal valid for new customers only (apparently not) with better conditions for a better price, than I was paying at that moment.

Never returned them anything, though.

Re: Salt - a carton box for 25 francs

Just wondering whether anyone knows, I'm planning to return my Salt box in ~2 months time and I damaged the original box (there was a bit of torn), but not the devices. Would that be a problem as well?
