I work with ch German people and I had to learn suiss German or at least German to feel ‘accepted’ ... This was for me the first step to feel part of it. They see I made an effort and are more open too.. It’s not easy.. Good luck!

I doubt it. In some algorithmic stuff it will. In many things it will not. Intuitive stuff which is what makes cognition particular and fast. We are often good without knowing it nor knowing why.
