Twice recently we paid an extra 9chf to Zalando to have something delivered at night, 16.30-21.00 .. Obviously for good reason, like last time it was a birthday gift and we'd be away next day ..

Requested delivery Monday night and it was actually delivered Wednesday morning after going through a loop of "Misdirected" - "Sorted for delivery" - "Misdirected" etc etc..

We order regularly so no issues with address, seems the post can't deal with the late in the day delivery.

Must mail them this morning to request my 9chf back!

Zalando delivered in 48 hours only once, one time, since we buy from them.

In our case is because I usually order more than 10 pieces of various types of clothing, sizes and brands, and I assume it takes a while to assemble all the package with items coming from different warehouses. I think that's the reason for delays, that they don't have everything in one big place (of course) and have to order things from different places. I never expected prompt delivery so to speak. Minimum or about one week in my experience. I don't think it's the Swiss Post, it's them.

I’m frankly dumbfounded about the Swiss Post - if I order from Galaxus in the evening, then it’s there on my doorstep the next morning Zalando seems to take a day or two more. Brack.ch is usually next next day, and Globus.ch has improved lately with also really fast delivery. For furniture, Connox.ch is also pretty fast - within 2-3 days

Before the pandemic, I never had a problem with 24 or 48 hours delivery.

Swiss post and pretty much all other parcel delivery services have been swamped since the pandemic started.

Customers (including Ikea, Zalando, Manor, etc.) have been given maximum quotas simply because delivery services cannot deliver all parcels on time. This might be one of the reasons why there are delays.

Noticed last night that Swiss Post have auto changed our address in our online system to a different house number

Called the Gemeinde this morning, no they are not changing our address again.

So now I can't handle our mail online as our address is incorrect (by 6 numbers). Am reluctant to do a "move house" address change in the system, because no doubt they will realise the mistake eventually and change it back and then it will be wrong again.

Have emailed them.... but I need to do a retain mail order for in 2 weeks time, now I can't
