| | Got banned from local store for demanding a mask
I've been having issues with two non-swiss employees of a local store for over a year now, since the pandemic started, "Alan" and "Bob." The biggest issue, they refuse to properly wear a mask, leaving their nose out, claiming that the protective glass is adequate. I've made numerous complaints to both, but the issue persists.
One of these days, Alan was over the freshly baked breads with his nose out. I demanded again to wear a mask, citing the law. He was clearly pissed, as the next time, when he was again behind the counter and the protective glass with his nose sticking out, he simply claimed "I work here" and ordered me to get out.
When I tried again to purchase something, Bob, who was alone, told me that I had been banned from the store. As far as I know, I do not have issues with the other employees, but Alan & Bob are the ones that predominately run the store.
The police simply told me that it's a private business and I should contact the owner for this matter. For the record, the store does have a CCTV and I have noted down the exact timestamps of the two incidents.
However, I am ambivalent about if I should do so and whether anything would come out of it. My concern is that I live in the area, though not next to the store, and they know my car as well. I am worried that I may get into trouble if push comes to shove and I certainly don't want to be afraid of walking around my apartment or constantly checking whether I am stalked.
So, should I let it slide?

Seriously you went to the Police for a nose poking out?

So, should I let it slide? | | | | | I have seen hairdressers, non - chain related store employees , most shop employees wearing the mask exactly like the way you have seen. Absolutely stupid and disgusting, let alone the health risks.
Authorities have a relaxed approach to it... so best is to change shops and have a "go with the flow" attitude. No point getting into arguments and creating an unpleasant atmosphere between you and the local shop | The following 6 users would like to thank Jeep Life for this useful post: | | This user groans at Jeep Life for this post: | |

If I were given CHF1 each time Ive seen an employee in a shop not wearing a mask properly over the last year Id be a very rich man. Try doing physical labour for 8 hrs wearing a mask & youll soon understand their issue & maybe develop some empathy for their working conditions. You can always take your business elsewhere if youre not happy...

You complained to the police because a guy in a bakery was not wearing his mask over his nose.
The police said, whatever. The guys didn't get into any sort of trouble. So they should have no reason to want to get back at you.
And you are implying you are unhappy with the passivity of the police.
But even so, now you are so afraid that you might not be able to walk around in your own apartment?
How afraid would you be now if the police had kicked in the door of the bakery and dragged the guys off into solitary confinement for a week.
Did you think any of this through?

I think it can be tough to still be on home-office. Or at risk. Or have somebody at home at risk. Or be the sole breadwinner, etc.

If you have been banned from a store, absolutely you must never go there again. At all. It is no longer relevant to you what they do there and how they conduct their business, (including how they don't use their masks properly) as, quite simply, once you have been forbidden from entering their store, you must not go near their door again.
Since you have been told not to return, (in German: Hausverbot), if you do go there again the store is very likely to call police on you immediately. That's a kind of trouble that is easy to avoid: just don't go there again, ever.

Tell Alan and Bob that a nose sticking out of mask is a highly visible sign of a very low IQ.
See where that gets you...

So have a quiet word with the supermarket manager or write an email to the head office.

The ticket inspectors on the tram told people to wear their masks properly. It's really not difficult.
I'd have avoided the shop way before getting banned.

@OP if you're truly living rent free in the minds of Alan and Bob, worst can you expect is a bit of shouting and maybe a punch. Stalking makes no sense.
