Dear Urs, sorry, I thought my raised eyebrow thingie was enough to indicate I was taking the piss. In fact, yours was a reasonable response. Prior to the OP admitting they really thought it was the bag's colour which was the issue, nobody (self included) thought such cluelessness was possible...
I noticed that but interpreted it differently.

Anyway, thanks for the clarification

So can someone expain me how this recycling thing works ?
It might help if you provided your actual location in your profile, or at least the canton, rather than the infantile "Swiss".

Recycling on Swiss generally works by the stewardess walking through the plane to collect rubbish.

We can wrap this thread up now. I think we scared the OP off already.

Amogles, you're showing your age. We now call them flight attendants or cabin crew. We've come a long way, baby.
Even Bert and Ernie wouldn't use those words anymore.

ok late to the party as usual but I think we can pretty much all agree on the top five things to expect from new posters
(I think I was guilty of all of them in my time )

- I got a " insert traffic related fine" and it's not fair
- I got told off for something by someone and it's not fair
- I can't figure out the complex trash system and it's not fair
- I got charged outrageously for a packet from abroad and it's not fair
- WTF Church Bells!

On Swiss they still insist on calling them "Besatzung" which makes me shudder a little ever time I hear it. I thought the war was over.

I was on an Easyjet flight once when they announced something like, welcome on flight EZS XYZ to Geneva. Flying you today will be your captain Bob, your co-pilot Eric and your auto pilot Elaine.

I agree with that and wish they'd use a different word as well. Flug personnel would be more empathetic.

And you can add "I signed a completely clear contract, but now have regrets, how do I wriggle out of it?"
Also:
"I moved into an apartment with rules and believe that I should be exempt from those rules".

Or:
"Why is everything so expensive?" shortly followed by a thread on whether the salary increase from 120k to 140k for their role is appropriate.

Or:
"Why can't I get a 20 franc walk in manicure in the center of Zurich?" while also complaining they can't exist on their 120k a year salary.

Besatzung is not a war-specific term. It's the German word for crew.
Got a problem with the word crew too?

An other word for crew in German would be Mannschaft .... the woke wouldn't like that. (with the two nn it is definitely and absolutely male)

Of course, you're right but sometimes the nuance of a word changes over time. This might be one such example.

Right. Imagine the out-cry on EF if an expat flew Swiss, where they said "Willkommen bei Kapitän Meier und seiner Mannschaft".
