Talking of seat belts, why none on public buses?
So, never rode the post auto/car postal up there in the mountains? There's a sign that says please use the seat belt.

what has really astonished me...throughout this pandemic is the absolute certainty with which scientists and politicians insist that certain things work. Like mask mandates, even though if you look at the data I think it's absolutely clear now that mask mandates make no difference

I just double mask on FFP2. Am also vaccinated, but it gives me a good feeling. There are so many idiots out there.

You actually got me thinking about that and I had to google it. Apparently, buses in general are designed to withstand much higher impact than cars, hence no need for a seat belt. Didn't know and wouldn't have known if you hadn't asked

now, shall we leave the kids to keep on bickering?
not entirely, because when a bus is on private hire service you are required to wear seatbelts if such are present, the moment the service is public and listed in the timetable, even though its the same bus and the same driver, you can remove them.

also on long distance services and mountain lines you are supposed to wear seat belts, but in towns and shorter cross-country services you are not, again, even if its the same bus and the same driver.

Amazing the likes of nickatbasel are so certain about their Position when it's the polar opposite of an Oxford epidemiologist with an h index of 55.

The fact that people like her are disagreeing with each other just demonstrates thatcher evidence base is very weak.

Most of her papers appear to be in human diseases (well all that I came across). We are after all an animal.

I've found it the most practical to turn them into a turban, I can wear it permanently and without the slighest hassle. Being bald they even protect me from sunburns. They do get a bit warm though.

My OH has elected to incorporate the belts in her nightgown, making it diagonally striped. It's quite fancy, mind.

Re: Abused for wearing mask on Bus!

C'mon guys, masks are great! In the trams in the morning I was feeling the morning breath of all those buggers who never owned a toothbrush and now it's all mint and flowers. I think we should run a referendum in CH to have obligatory masks in the morning in public transport

Re: Abused for wearing mask on Bus!

The only people who should complain about masks are pretty people..
I can only imagine how frustrating it must be, being pretty with flawless skin, lovely smile, beautiful pearly whites and have to hide all that and be faceless, no identity no nothing...

For me it's a jackpot now because I dont even want to wear a lipstick And long time ago I had that dream everyone to be masked because I found everyone stinky so I guess my great dream came true !

Wear those masks lovellies - masks are great

A great aunt of mine was a zoologist and actually one of the first ever female phds of her university. She always said she trusted veterinarians more than she trusted doctors. She lived into her 90ies.

It could be though that those who agree with her are suffering from confirmation bias, and picking the one expert who agrees with them.

That's your criteria?

Then you'd better sit up and take notice of these videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VW7FjLeqWKs - Trump Is Still President 100% Q Proof USA Is At War!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaZcsiG2TOc - Joe Biden admits electoral fraud

These haven't been banned either. So according to your standards they must be true!

A minor inconvenience if it means a lockdown or other restrictions can be avoided.
