What experience do you have in sales? Can you give me more details or send me your CV please?
Thank you in advance.
Lara | | | | | Hi Lara,
I think that you missed the boat on this one. The original post was from May 2006 and Gurulaton hasn't logged into the forum for over 7 months now.

"The people (if you can call them people) are complete idiots and fools." Well, not everyone here is an idiot and fool.
They have know understanding whatsoever of what is going around in the world around them. The talk a language which was spoken in the middle ages in Germany. They are just so backward minded. Well, to some extent, I agree with you, but I have found this in other countries. As far as racial issues, Switzerland is behind and a lot of them are backwards minded. I am American, and I think a lot of do not know what is going on in the world.
As soon as I can, I'll be trying to finally get out of here. I truelly hate all people here. This Swiss mindset is just so impossible. If you are not happy here, then yes, I think it is better that you leave. It is not worth ruining your health. I am never going to live in another country, because of my experiences in Europe. | | | | | Confused - are these your words? Why not learn to use the quote function so you can make posts that make more sense?

closed to save any mindless replies having certainly not read the whole thread. It has run its course - Gurutalon has left; admitted defeat and considering that decision alone is a brave one should not come in for criticism. | | 2 Complaints about Switzerland ...
1. Why does everyone who lives above me, wherever I live, decide to scrape their furniture across the floor every 10 minutes. I thought this place was meant to be so testily noise intolerant .. .
In fact my neighbours called the police on me TWICE in one evening and when they didn't turn up within 10 minutes, the neighbours came around and banged on my floor and demanded I turn my music down ( did they really need to call the Police, I am a totally approachable guy !? actually .. maybe the shaved head puts people off ) ... These are the same neighbours who came and complained when I first moved in because I was putting up my IKEA bed too loudly at night.
I had the last larf though because she's skinny and he's ugly. wa wa wa.
2. Dust. There's so much DUST here.

This explains why our apartment is always dusty - we have six bodies "contributing" to the mess! |

In fact in the cities at least part of the dust problem is diesel fumes. Diesel isn't taxed the same way as petrol/gasoline because it used to be seen as a farm or industrial fuel. So, in the 1990s a lot of car makers started building little diesel cars, and they have this particulate problem. It's awful if you happen to be behind one when the driver starts it up, becuase they always spit out a little cloud of black dust.
Anyhow, I hope they ban the @#$! things.

| | negative stuff about life in Switzerland
I'm sure that many on this forum would agree that there's much to thankful for about the quality of life that can be had in Switzerland, nevertheless I'm also sure that there are plenty of things that get on your nerves. What's the biggest cause of disatisfaction with living here?
Some of my favourites include the unnecessary adherence to pointless rules; the belief that everything Swiss is somehow per se better than anything non-Swiss in origin and the blaming the foreigners (especially ex Balkan area) for all crime.
Please don't misunderstand, I don't want to start a thread about "life in the UK or wherever is so much better", I like being in Switzerland, it's a good place to live. The same discussion thread could be held about life in the UK or wherever, what get's your goat about Switzerland?

I find the washing rota system totally scandalous for a modern society. My neighbors should be open-minded enough to wait till I'm done washing, whenever that happens to be.
They should also clean the washmachine and dryer after me, because I'm busy doing far more important things.

Foreigners who choose to live here then criticise, mock, ignore then complain about the rules.

All places are the same. Locals and foreigners differ in many many ways.
We learn to live and let live.
THAT is the best way to go ahead and adopt this place as your "new home".
When one looks for bad things, they see bad things.
Is this half full or half empty, you and only you decide.
Good luck.

A fair enough point, I assume that you wouldn't find any petty rules to mock or complain about in your home country then?

Dude, read any post with more than 100 postings and you will get more information than you can handle about what EF'ers dont like about CH.....
Complaining about the Swiss has to be a progression, not a post in its self. Why not start with the post about the guy who left his Range Rover running while trading energy and raising a child. | Quote: | | | | | I'm sure that many on this forum would agree that there's much to thankful for about the quality of life that can be had in Switzerland, nevertheless I'm also sure that there are plenty of things that get on your nerves. Isn't it funny how they stand and wait for the green man to tell them when it's OK to cross the road? Sometimes people stand there for ages when theres no traffic coming, waiting for the green man. It doesn't get on my nerves, I just think It's funny.

Even if I did I didn't choose to live in my home country, I chose to live in Switzerland.
