Moderation here

..sucks. Yeah, I remember why I left this place before, now: ****witted moderation. If you want the forum to descend into a reflection of Switzerland itself where nobody dares say anything in case it infringes some petty rule or another, and just vant ze facts and nussink but ze facts, then you're going the right way about it. Don't bother. I know where the door is.

Re: Moderation here

here we go again.....

So what actually is the complaint? What has a mod done to one of your posts? moved it, deleted it, censored it? like they do day in day out with various posts? Get over it

Nah, I think he's trying to take a leaf from Castro's thread about being grumpy.

Dont let the door hit you on your way out though...

On second thoughts...

You may think it is too harsh, I disagree... I think in some cases it is a bit slack.

HOWEVER, taking in the fact that we English-speaking folks who choose to join this forum come from just about "everywhere" in the world, it is understandable to think that what is offensive to some may not be offensive to others.

IF moderators were to moderate based upon what *anyone* may find in need of correction, it could wind up being as you describe BUT as that is not the case, you need to go blow off some steam and quit complaining.

OH! and another thing...
If you really think you have a leg to stand on regarding some post of yours being moderated some way you disagree with, by golly, send the moderator a private message! You never know, they may come to see it from your point of view.

One last thing:
Please, change your forum name to Godwin. kthxbyebye

That's very true.

Unless, of course, it's Sore Ron, in which case you'd be liable for a vacation, castration, or some other extreme form of punishment for challenging his authoritah!

I have just seen the cause of the OP's mod irritation and really if that's what you're getting your knickers in a twist over then I think I need to re-direct you to here

Herr Crankypants,
It was a close one, but I think you just managed to avoid having your thread deleted so that public displays of idiocy would serve as a lesson to others.

Re: Moderation here

I moderate a global forum, with well over a hundred thousand members. I just have to remember that only a very small proportion are pathologically incapable of understanding and keeping to the forum rules, and that somehow more than 99% of the members do manage never get moderated at all.

Still, keeps me busy.

Yeah - we do that from time to time. It kind of reminds me of displaying the decaying body of executed criminals by the side of the road, pour encourager les autres...

Getting groaned by "minus 48 rep points" donavir is definitely going to shut Dougal's Breakfast up. He'll be quaking in his boots now, self-moderating.

DB will be sobbing in his gin for sure.

I'm sure a bit of 'over-modding' would be welcomed for a couple of trip trap merchants on this thread..... please

EDIT.... who ever thought I'd be happy to see Scott on the case

Please help me, Tweni Too Kenobi! You are my only hope!

Donavir keeps following me around and groaning me, just because I accidentally gave him some red smarties...

Do you think I might have upset him?
