Maybe it's the Basel Dragons Running Club that is causing all of the spit in Basel.

Or BASEBALL players! They're also notorious for grabbing their package while on camera. And what's with this ass-slapping? If we did that in the office, think how much fun we'd have! "Great job, John!" (SLAPPPP) "You, too, Bob! (SLAPPP....grabs package to re-adjust)

I can feel a trip to Human Resources for a counceling session. The HR Director sits there, all high and mighty, looks over a pair of 1980's reading glasses, squints, frowns, and spooges a big, nasty loogy across the room. "This office has a no ass-slapping policy." (SLAPPPP) "Now, get back to work, and fix your package before you go back out there!"

There's a fair preponderance of spit in Vevey as well.

I can never figure out why people spit and think that it's acceptable. If what is in your mouth is so bad, why do you think I want it on the bottom of my shoe?

And if it's okay to hock a loogie in the street, would it be equally acceptable for me to put a finger over one nostril and clear the other into the path?

Little & bigger boys are awesome spitters. Not too long ago and during several days the mirror in the elevator was their target.
Then spitting from the highest floor down through the spiral of the staircase ... and of course always always from bridges unto the boats passing by. target, the bold head.

Its a boy thing. what can you do.

I've seen spitting in almost every city I've been to (except maybe Singapore where you would get a fine??). Isn't it a cool thing which everyone does, like smoking, doping and getting drunk?

Go and visit China and you will see it's not only a boy thing. Over there, it's a cultural thing!

Perhaps there is a secret competition going on...
