Next time you see the punk, DB, sneak up behind him, clamp headphones to his ears, and play ABBA Gold at him. If that doesn't work, then you'll have to strike hard and fast with "Saving your love for me", by René and Renata.
That'll larn 'im.

give punky a break ; we were all young once ...punk, rocker, mod , dropout, emo, goth ,new romantic, been there ( no , i wont say which ) and got over it.
he will grow out of it , or get bored and while he wont remember his embarressing moments , he would remember the slagging off he got from other adults.
maybe he'll turn out to be a great philosopher, or doctor , who knows.

Hi Tilia, that's quite an affirmation, you sound like you have personal experience with this, I'd like to hear more, can you elaborate? | | | | | I agree, many of those I see hanging together in certain areas ren't actually drunk or taking drugs all the time. It often is just an image statement, sort of hobo wannabe new romantics, not saying all of them, but some for sure. Ton of them peeps I have met in my life were really just caught up in a transition phase, moved on laters. If I wanted to know more I think I would rather talk to them than ask posters here to elaborate on their personal stuff..

I saw a very pretty girl and I was sad to see her doing everything she could to look ugly in that punk style.

It is not because I am saying white I don't think black as well. Why when someone say right someone as to come up with left...
Can we just say something for what it is? I saw a very pretty girl and she look very bad in the punk look.
I have to be PC and say it is also the same for the fat, the minority and the orphans?

hehehe very funny post. But yeah, sometimes the assumption is that when you single out one cohort you mean specifically to the exclusion of others. But I appreciate the turn of phrase.

Just because someone is pretty doesn't make it all the more the shame they choose to express themselves the way they please.
There's beauty in everything, and some people find that look to be pleasing.

But: Looking "bad" or "ugly" is not really a hard, measurable fact, it is a matter of taste. I find many punk or goth outfits funny, interesting and, when done well, defenitely not ugly. | The following 2 users would like to thank Treverus for this useful post: | |

it is a question of taste. I think she was pretty and I think she did look ugly in punk. I don't like punk style. I don't like to see a huge metal ring in the ears lob of someone who makes a huge hole. I don't like to see tattoos everywhere on the body, I don't like to see so many piercing on someone's face. It is not in MY taste!
As much as it is their body and their life, they are not fitting in the society and they don't want to. No one wants to hire them and their look is the problem.
In my opinion, they can do whatever they want, as long as they are not disturbing me, and me not disturbing them. Live and let live.
But I still think it is an awful look.
And for those who enjoy so much their style, will you like to see your daughter or son living that way?

If people like the punk style then why would they be botheed of their son or daughter became a punk anyway?
YOU think you conform to the way society looks - they conform to how they want to look

How judgemental it is? There is a fact here. Tell me please what is judgmental in my comments.
