You're being judgemental in saying that pretty girls should conform to what you find pretty.
Personally, I find people who wear pastels, dye their hair blond and are overly made up to be ugly, regardless of the underlying beauty or not (and I have no idea if that is your style or not! This is not meant as a personal dig). I respect people who choose a style that suits them, and doesn't worry too much about how society wants them to fit in. However, I respect the right of the pastel-wearing person to wear it and don't tut my head and think what a shame when I see a pretty girl made ugly by the uniform she chooses to wear.

Nils,
You're projecting your norms of beauty, conformity, and acceptance onto someone else. So, yes, you're being incredibly judgemental. If you don't like it, fine.
I'd rather have my daughter be happy, smart as hell, strong, and independent and dressed like a punk rather than some pink bubble headed Barbie.

YOU are being judgemental on something I didn't say, read me again.
This is your opinion. But the pastel girly blonde will probably contribute to the society and pay taxes but the punk who can't find a job (if he wants one) because of his look? If he is sick and has to go to hospital who will pay for him? the society he rejected so hard and spit on.
Ask the Punk what he think about society and the workers and tell me if he is not judgemental.

Seems both sides are being equally judgemental. One doesn't like punks; the other doesn't like barbies.

Kate Hudson got a boob job. If you like it it is fine but if you think she shouldn't get one because she was pretty the way she looked it is judgemental?
Same for the pretty girl I saw. She was pretty and looke bad in tat style. My opinion. You call me judgemental, fine, I am.
But don't be hypocrits, you are all as much as I am.

What I am saying is this:
Do you see Punk working in public transportation, or hospital or stores or restaurants?
And yes, when I say Punk I don't mean ALL of them. Because again it is not a generalisation.
1 pretty girl
1 punk style
=
not liking it in my taste.

Why is alternative so bad? | | | | | Agreed. But maybe you shouldn't have mentioned barbies being dull; otherwise the civilised world was in agreement with you.
But while we're on the topic of judging people by their clothign styles, it's even happened to me. I dress like a yuppie but don't partake in typical yuppie tastes other than clothing. Okay maybe furniture too. But the supposed progressive alternative-culture loving people have judged me just by my clothing style. Have been asked what I was doing at certain clubs or been questioned at protest marches.
But let's back to slagging whorish, no-good-for-society, money leaching punk girls.

I mostly feel sorry for the Barbi-Brigade. I just assume they lack the imagination or the confidence to go outside the norm. How judgemental is that?

Why is alternative so bad? | | | | | Because alternative is against the norm, right? And if you defy society it should crush you. That's how society works. We should have them all collected in the dead of night and driven off to labour camps where we can put them to good use.
Despicable, lazy good for nothing, funny looking sods that they are.
When we're though with those that we can identify by the filthy way they look, we should set about finding those that think funny. There's where the real danger lies. Finding someone who does not think pastel blue and blonde is a subversion to society and ought to be eradicated.

I`ve got a tat and looking down I see black. But I do do the barbie thing, when I`m working with kids I try to be colourful and when I`m flying somewhere I go all out barbie.... I know when to look like a sheep. | Quote: | | | | | I know many punks - tattoos and all - who hold responsible jobs.
