Honestly kiddo, if you're not young at 26, then what is the definition of youth ?

somewhere from 17-25? I don't know.. I'm 27 soon to be 28. :S.

Great food for sure- but like Chinese and Italian, what you find in the 'rest of the world' is often not so similar to the real thing.

"look white boy, if I told you you wouldn't eat it anymore!".
Word.. I myself have probably (inadvertently) eaten dog sometime...

not that it was what you were eating.

Ouchboy- I moved here when I was the same age as you. That was ten years ago . I don't know what happened to those ten years... seems like 2 years, or 20, depending on the day.
I started to feel a little bit like I cashed out too soon. that I just went for the plateau.. I dunno it's kiddie life crisis I guess. (lol great minds think a like it seems )

@OB. I seriously pictured you married with kids and a dog hahahahahaha. and not being 20something but 10 years older ...sorry
you are not the only one who says that

I remember in middle school we had to pick from a list our choices for Career Day. One of the choices was Modelling. I was so stoked- I mean, I spent countless hours each week with balsa wood and glue, and now I find out I can do it for a living?!

Luckily when Uber Dork walked into the room full of primped up teenage girls my gaffe was seen as a cool joke. I was a dork with cred. Still am .

Ok, age is an attitude, and because you do write in a rather responsible mature way (lol cats aside ) it's easy to think that you may be in your thirties.

But...... you're 26 !!!!! everything is in front of you ! You can change everything you want, you can go wherever you want, you can build and unbuild and rebuild as many times as you want.
You'll meet a lovely young lady and fall in love and you might get married. You might work really hard and climb the corporate ladder, or start your own company or you might travel the world as a hitchhiker for 2 years (on second thoughts, don't do that, it's too dangerous), any way regardless.... you can do everything and be everything you want to be.

to be watched to the end.....

You're the whippersnapper, mimi.

Does feeling and looking 70 count?

Agreed. I'm 44 and the way I feel now I guess I'm only half-way done. Why waste the next 44 years just because I'm over 30? My Grandfather lived to be 100 and both my parents are still alive, I'm not counting chickens but why play dead now just because I'm middle aged?

I am having more fun than ever, and working with some young 30-somethings to start up an internet project. Live begins at 40, you'd better believe it.

Funniest thing I heard in a long time:- My wife (almost 40) was in a bar with some young male colleagues from her office and feeling slightly drunk. When she came back from the WC she said to one of the guys 'did I walk straight'. His answer: 'I don't know. I don't watch womens bums once they get to your age'.

Jeez, anytime a 20something mentions old people the old people squat the thread. Over a couple of days. Those auto-lift recliners move slowly.

When I was a kid I wanted to be old so I could have horn-rimmed glasses like my grandfather. Almost 40 and still 20/15. Dammit.

Judging by the worries these young guns are having about hitting 30, they won't live to be 40.

I turned 30 a couple of weeks ago and I've never felt so young. Or free. Or happy.

Which is funny, because I used to feel so oooold until a couple of months ago. My guess is that it's all in your mind - it all depends on how you feel about your life at the moment.

This year has brought some big positive changes in my life, so I guess that's why I'm not concerned about the fact I'm growing older...

What about treating yourself something special? It's your birthday, after all!
(says the one who did not celebrate any birthday in the previous years because felt so old and grumpy )

I think the problem is that for the first time in my life I feel settled, content and not forever searching for something to make me happy. I have a nice man, a lovely daughter, a lovely apartment to move into soon, a holiday around the corner and lots of nice friends. Life is good and I suppose the lack of spontaneity of my previous life makes me feel a bit old and set in my ways

Nowt wrong with that of course
